Ha, I got lost after reading your second sentence. But I now understand that when you said "jump", you meant "join":) . And you can jump in two ways: (a) in "series", meaning one end of first strip to the beginning of second strip, resulting a longer strip. (b) in "parallel", meaning two strip's beginning jump to two strip's end, ...
I think you won't understand what I am saying, because I got lost myself. BTW, you need to learn the Ohm's Law, which is the low you might break and melt down LEDs (That is why I suggest you start with a small number of LED, ... Anyway, Good luck, ...
Errata - In "parallel" means two strips' beginnings jumped together; two strips' ends jumped together, ...
Another cause of confusion: A long roll of 600 LEDs is actually many 3 LED long strips jumped in parallel, not in series. Any don't ask me any more questions, because I don't know what I am talking about. :)
