Maybe it is not really surprising that after this room was created, the main chatroom was frozen (for inactivity):

@Rosie Now that the election is over, would it perhaps be reasonable to unfreeze the main chatroom?
Currently, the election room is the only room associated with the site - I suppose that having a general-purpose seems reasonable. (Although I will certainly admit that the other room had very low activity, so it probably isn's missed too much.)
