@HizHa I am seriously shocked and a little confused now. I was trying to help you, spending a lot of time on my answer and hoping your problem was now resolved, and suddenly I read you're making an appeal for everyone to collect how "abusive" and "insulting" I've been throughout the past. At the moment I can't think of much more than "Umm, what?" and "Wow, now *this* is insulting."
It seems like the whole point you are basing your outrage on was the word "prediction". Would you please explain how this makes my answer an insult?! "Prediction" means simply that you made an assumption about ho

Uhhh... @HizHa, I'm a moderator on this website. What is insulting about @lemontree's answer, exactly? Please be concise.
Why are you removing your messages? Keep in mind that I can still read removed messages.

This (being insulted in public by the man) is so upsetting that I'm hitting wrong keys.
I think you're wrong in thinking that lemontree considers all members of a certain "race" to not be able to understand the problem. That's because: 1) He never mentioned any race. 2) I assume he doesn't even know you or where you're from.
I don't think that was a personal attack to you.
He thought you didn't understand the problem, but he wasn't insulting you. There will be disagreement on these websites, it's not a personal attack against you in particular. And he may be wrong, maybe you do understand it. But I think both of you can clarify that in a relaxed manner?
lemontree has always been very polite, as far as I've seen, so I think there just was a misunderstanding between you too. It can happen, no big deal.
He wrote: [ I'll elaborate some more on Greg Lee's answer (which already brings the main issue of your understanding problem quite well to the point) ]

-- the main issue of your understanding problem -- ! ! !

1. Do I have an "understanding problem" ? Am I so stupid that I have to have his teaching shoved into my face?

2. Bringing in (mentioning) (Prof.) "Greg Lee's answer" is a really nasty touch. Greg Lee's answer says [Iwasaki's formlation is unclear. What he means is that ...] and doesn't talk about [my] "understanding problem" at all. Is this man claiming that all persons of cert
In any case, even if he actually insulted you, coming to chat and "request" his old posts or comments as evidence of his behavior is not the way to go. If there is offensive behavior, flag the post for moderator attention, but make sure there is actual offensive content and not just a misunderstanding.
> 1. Do I have an "understanding problem" ? Am I so stupid that I have to have his teaching shoved into my face?
No, he never said you're stupid.
> 2. Bringing in (mentioning) (Prof.) "Greg Lee's answer" is a really nasty touch. Greg Lee's answer says [Iwasaki's formlation is unclear. He talked about one man, not about an entire race.
> 3. My question was written in English, about English syntax and grammar, -- he insists of bringing in indirect references to my supposed race.
At the very least, please have him delete:
1. the offensive opening paragraph.
2. all references to Japanese.
3. where he bluntly declares me "not correct".
I don't see those, he only talked about one man, 1, whose formulations he thinks are unclear. That doesn't mean all members of the same race as that man are the same
Ah wait, that was Greg Lee.
uhm
@lemontree are you there?

This man made the insinuation that (Prof.) Greg Lee's answer " ( ... already brings the main issue of your understanding problem quite well to the point) "

That is blatantly false.
@HizHa Well, reading the answer quickly, I may agree with you. But did you ask @lemontree to clarify that statement and explain why he thinks that?
You could have posted a comment saying "please explain this sentence, I think it's false" or something of that sort
I have been asking him about the strange, insulting word he used : "predictions" -- he has ignored me until today.

He wrote> To come back to your question: No, your predictions are not correct.
@HizHa Why do you think that's insulting?
He's disagreeing with you. He may be right or wrong, but he's allowed to disagree. If you think he's wrong in disagreeing, you may downvote his answer.
I have to go now. -- I'll come back tonight.
I may not be online later, so you may wait until tomorrow (my time)

I don't really know what else to say, or what about my answer needs to be clarified. At no point did I insult HizHa, and up to now he/she still hasn't brought up a reasonable explanation as to how the word "prediction" is racist, all I read is just insulting accusations about an answer that didn't even include any personal comments.
I seriously don't know what I should explain here...
@lemontree Well, I'm just a mediator here, I'm not really taking sides. But I think it would help if you clarified how Greg's answer "already brings the main issue of your understanding problem quite well to the point".
@lemontree I know you're a very polite individual, I'm just asking you, if possible, to help me de-escalate the situation.

I think I already did that in my comments: "The wording in the paragraph you cited is imprecise, [...] NPs within RCs can be relativized, in fact infinetlely so, as demonstrated by sentences 6). The only thing that is not possible is movement of the embedded relativized element to the beginning of the sentence to make them the head of the whole construction, as shown in sentences 7)." That was the whole point of Greg Lee's and my answer, which I gave a broader explanation of in my post.
BTW, if we discuss this further, I think it would be helpful to move this debate to a separate chat. I wa
@Alenanno I appreciate you taking the effort of trying to solve the problem. My saying that I don't know what there is to clarify was my most accurate answer to the previous messages, not a blame against you.
@lemontree Except the meta-comments, could you include that in the answer?
NO, do not have him make the offensive "answer" longer.
