How many votes does it take to steal @V2Blast back from SE?

Just curious, but I noted that this election is seeking to have 2 positions filled. Is V2 stepping down?
Also, I've not seen Rubiksmoose around in a long while. Are they still active?

@Pyrotechnical V2 stepped down a few weeks back
Because he took a job as a CM at SE

Hello! And yes, I was hired as a CM back in August. More of a step up than down, I suppose :P

Rubiks has not announced anything, so I'm not sure if the team count is going to 4 (with Rubiks stepping down) or to 5 with Rubiks staying.
@V2Blast Depends who you ask :P

@ThomasMarkov It sounds like 5 from what is open information.

Gotcha. I recall the promotion, V2, I think I recalled something to the effect that you'd continue moderating here.
But I wasn't sure how feasible that was going to be in reality.

@ThomasMarkov Rubiks announced not stepping down.
But whether that is still correct is up to the moose to confirm.

@Akixkisu Oh really?

@Pyrotechnical I mean, insofar as I have mod powers on every site, and I'm still active on RPG.SE, I can continue using those mod powers here (e.g. cleaning up no-longer-needed comments, editing, etc.). But I prefer to leave the regular moderation to the site-specific mods :)

@ThomasMarkov When I asked about whether we should think about elections, that was the state.
Which doesn't necessarily entail that it still is the state.

Hi @JNat, our question collection meta says “The questionnaire is now live, and you may find it here.” but we don't have a questionnaire at all and the "here" points to the election page. Specifically: we need you to post a 2021 election questionnaire.
Thanks!
@V2Blast gonna ping you also in case you can use Jedi mind powers and/or staff channels to poke JNat :D

@doppelgreener Per the post:
> We will post the final questionnaire on the Election page. Candidates will have the option to fill out the questionnaire, and their answers will appear beneath their intro statements.
There's a "Questionnaire" section under the "Additional Links" section (which contains a link to this chat room):
> The community team has compiled questions from meta for the candidates to answer.
The "Show Questions" button directly under that shows the list of selected questions.

@V2Blast I'm confused. Historically nominations introduce the user, but there's a dedicated Meta Q&A posted simultaneously with the Nominations step and people post their questionnaire answers there. Is there a new change in protocol? Do people post their answers in the Nominations step now?
Ok, looking at the Stack Overflow election that might be exactly the case

@doppelgreener Basically, the old method required a lot of manual copying and pasting of the question list by CMs. Now, posting and responding to the questionnaire has been built in to the election page; instead of living in a separate Meta post, the final questionnaire is now published directly on the Election page. When candidates nominate themselves or edit their nomination, their candidate statement and questionnaire appear in the nomination UI.
The candidates' questionnaire answers will appear on the Election page under their intros; it'll show a snippet of each questionnaire, along with a "Read more" link that expands it.
It's detailed in this MSE post:

Q: Moderator Elections: new questionnaire UI

Anita TaylorAs part of our project to make it easier for our community managers to run moderator elections for our Stack Exchange sites, we've just released new functionality related to creating, answering and reading the candidate questionnaire. For most elections, we ask the community to contribute questio...

Oh, neat!

Yep! It's simpler for both CMs and prospective mods :)

Nice to see the elections UI get an upgrade.

Agreed!
