Rather than ~/.multi-timer a better name would be ~/.config/multi-timer.cfg. Regardless of the name/location, it's always a good idea to backup your configuration. Rather than key=12345 the program should be changed to use a random number. This would allow multiple copies to run and allow restart after a crash. I have thought about rewriting multi-timer in python which is a step up from bash.

and what about storing all the saved configs so you can select them?Don't you need a folder for that?
and the 3 new timers wash cycle, rinse cycle? new version required a new package but I didn't see anything new
i have an idea for the icon of the app
