You mention (twice) "what you consider [professionalism] to mean," but you're mentioning it in the context of interpersonal relationships, where you're not the only one who gets to decide what it means. By your definition, a great many of the coworkers I've ever interacted with (in IT/DevOps) were quite unprofessional, and yet we managed to get plenty of work done.
