Two possibilities - 1. Creating the room doesn't make me a RO by default (I didn't manually remove RO-status) 2. the room was created by the system when I pushed a button. It's possible that doing so assumes the system created the room and so doesn't assign a RO.

I can check the past rooms I've created for elections to see what happened there.

Yeah, looks like the manual way of building rooms did make me RO... so something about how we do it now is different. That said, it doesn't generally matter. These rooms usually get closed/deleted after the election ends.
