Hello, whats up?

Hi, thank you for your time!
I would like to ask about this post: workplace.stackexchange.com/q/172282/125897
Do you see my accepted answer there?
My question is appended as a comment to it.

The votes?

Is it possible that this answer is somehow — invisibly — frozen, to somehow not to invite, or block any interaction? No votes, no comments.
But also no comments...

Seems pretty normal, nothing frozen that I can see. Just that the question is low view and low votes.
It hasn't generated much interest from the community

I know someone with extreme high rep who disagrees with me (they have access to mod tools, I expect)

12:23 PM
They may disagree but cannot freeze anything
unless they're a moderator in which case I'd see it

the same person had, when they saw my comments on this question: workplace.stackexchange.com/q/172324/125897
so they had somehow activated a setting that enabled a premature collapsing the comment threads.
so even when there were only 2 comments on a question, they got displayed already collapsed; highly atypical as to how it looks on any other question, usually.

No, the comments were moved to chat by a moderator, it's normal procedure when things get heated or there is too many comments.

and it had happened right after this person, with whom we do disagree

In fact the whole answer got deleted by the owner of it

I know the _move to chat feature_, and it was not that:
as I have said, it got activated when only 2 comments were on two different answers correspondingly;
I mean, I still have a comment on the accepted answer too. But even that was displayed already collapsed / hidden, after the second comment.
And I don't mean the person who deleted their answer, I mean someone else, with way higher rep.

12:29 PM
I don't see anything out of the ordinary, what do you mean 'collapsed'?
you comment "Please note that I have significantly changed my answer since you accepted it" is showing normally

> Add a comment | Show 2 more comments

you wrote it once, then you deleted it, then you wrote it again, and it's still there

So the link already hid the only two comments

I don't see that on my laptop

The premature comment collapsing happened only on this post: https://workplace.stackexchange.com/q/171534/125897
And it's not more apparent any more, because more comments had accumulated since then.

12:32 PM
there's only 2 comments on that

But, let's leave this detail;
I just wanted to ask, whether an extreme high rep user has various tools to "silence me" on this stack, and if yes, how could it be kept in check, and let me have my voice heard.

None that I am aware of, only two users have many of the tag gold badges and I'm one of them, yet even those wouldn't be able to do what you're saying.

(I don't want to get sabotaged by some high rep person who disagrees with my values.)
Okay, that sounds reassuring. Thank you very much for your time; I will keep an eye on it, and hope for improvements.
Thank you again :)
See you on the site...

I don't see how they could except by downvoting
Take it easy
