Q: Inkscape - Increase filter resolution/quality

So I wanted to clear up a bit, you want canon examplars of "invisible typography" i.e. classy, no-frills layout...I had a couple of examples from around Gutenberg but it seems you're aiming more at Tschichold
While checking out images to include in my answer (never posted), I ran into flash cards people have put up to revise for graphic design history exams. The thing is some books are famous for various reasons (more complex layouts, sophisticated wood block prints, etc.)
e.g. Book of Kells is hugely famous, more for its illuminations, insular script, iconography, and I don't think it falls into what you're looking for
