@amWhy Sorry I missed the message. I didn't mind your input at all. Did you write to staff about our thoughts regarding the re-election?

@vitamind I'm waiting until I'm on better terms with them, and the terms have improved. I wonder, though, if it might not be wise for me to first raise this question on meta.se (not math.meta.se), or "contact us: Community moderator". Because I'm not sure that there is any precedent for re-election of moderators. I'd hate to propose the idea, only to learn enabling such a request would first require SE approval, and developers commitment. But it certainly would help to have some mods backing
the suggestion. I remember Xander, in an answer to the questionairre before his election, advocating for term limits for mods.

@amWhy And after his election?
If you don't want to answer it's ok. Unrelated question: Is it possible for you to edit the names of wiki-tags?

6:23 PM
@vitamind I think he'd be on board with term limits requiring termination, or with term limits allowing incumbent mods to run again.
@vitamind I believe so: as in suggesting an edit, or editing outright, a tag wiki?

@amWhy Not exactly the tag-wiki itself, I believe I can do that too, rather the name.
I.e. not the description but the name.

@vitamind I.e., the name of the tag? There is a meta thread for suggesting what tag names to include, also I believe there is a chat related to tagging, (Martin Sleziak is very active on each.)

@amWhy It's not about introducing a new one, it's about editing a tag-name, which already exists.

@vitamind Can you clue me in on which tag you want to edit (tagname, not content)?? It is hard to answer in the abstract.

@amWhy Can you change the tag "kahler-manifold" into "kähler-manifold"?

6:37 PM
@vitamind Oh, I see. I can try to, but again, this change would be readily accepted in the tag chat or the meta.math thread. I've actually never tried this myself.
It looks as though the Wiki spells it as you desire. I found no link to edit the actual tag name. You might want to ask this on meta, specifying the current tag name, and your desire for the name of the tag be corrected to kähler-manifold
I'll upvote the request: but note, when I searched tags, I wrote "kähler-manifold" which brought me immediately to the current tag, kahler-manifold.

@amWhy I see. I'll probably ask Martin Selziak first.

@vitamind Smart move!

@amWhy It's not an urgent change, but I prefer it to be correct.

@vitamind I very much understand.

@amWhy Cool. I'll head to the tagging room.
