Q: Are dice from the Divine Fury feature of the Zealot Barbarian weapon dice or extra damage dice?

Eternallord66I am a Zealot Barbarian and I was wondering if the Divine Fury feature would alter a weapons damage dice once per round or is it just an add-on? The Divine Fury feature says: ...you can channel divine fury into your weapon strikes. While you're raging, the first creature you hit on each of ...

@Sdjz That question is very close but neither the question or the answers address this particular question.

How, to you, is this feature unlike the others mentioned: "Commander's Strike, damage dice given by a College of Valor Bard, Sneak Attack dice, and likely others which currently escape my mind."?

I'm afraid I agree with Sdjz (and others) that the duplicate question's answer does answer this; basically, Divine Fury isn't a property of the weapon, so as I see it, this exact scenario is covered by that other Q&A

Not a duplicate anymore

the question doesn't really make sense, though. "Would this make the weapon damage dice for a greatsword wielded by a raging zealot barbarian be 2d6 slashing + 1d6 radiant or necrotic + modifier like a flametongue or a frostbrand?" What does that even mean?

5:25 PM
@BenBarden It is very simple to understand. If you read the bolded text the divine fury enhances the weapon strikes.

...but flametongue and frostbrand don't make anything into necrotic damage. Divine Fury doesn't either. Insult me if you like, but I'm telling you, I cannot figure out what you're trying to ask with that sentence, and I'm not normally bad at understanding the english language.

@BenBarden the damage type is irrelevant. the added die is what is relevant.Divine fury lets you choose the damage to be radiant or necrotic.

So... are you trying to ask if the damage bonus applies to subsequent strikes in the same round against the same target? IF so, there's a lot of excess verbiage in there.

@BenBarden I have updated the question to make it more clear.

5:25 PM
This is definitely not a duplicate and I'll reopen, but I also don't understand why you reference the frostband/flametongue. Tht seems to be confusing a very clear question.

@NautArch i am referencing them because they have additional damage dice addoed on to the weapon damage dice. They are an example of what i am saying.

The edit is just rephrasing the same (duplicate) question to ask if the Fury dice become “weapon dice”, and get the fighting style bonus. It’s hard to understand because it’s trying to obfuscate exactly what it’s asking, to make it less obvious that it’s the same question.

Okay... Is there any practical implication to the difference between "weapon dice" and "add-on dice" other than the fighting style bonus?

@SevenSidedDie I didn't even connect that that's what they were asking. I thought they were just confirming the damage dice total. I guess it isn't clear! If that's the question, it's definitely a dupe.

@BenBarden Some other features may interact specifically with weapon dice, such as the Barbarian's Brutal Critical

5:25 PM
@SevenSidedDie the question is completely different now. my goals is to see if the extra damage die is weapon damage die for the first hit. If you can point out anywhere in my current question anything relating to that question then you are correct. As it stands you cannot.

@Eternallord66 ...but what does that mean? What does "weapon damage die" mean, as compared to add-on damage die? What is the practical implication of your question? For that matter, if you can find some examples of the difference, and add them to your question, that would help significantly

Humans vote on duplicates because humans are smarter than computers and can’t be fooled like that. Sorry, I see a duplicate that’s intentionally confusing because it’s trying to twist out of the duplicate close. The answer is already at the linked question. Not liking the answer doesn’t give a pass on asking a duplicate, especially not in a super contorted way to get around the disliked answer.

@BenBarden weapon damage die is inherent damage made by the weapon. add-on damage die is just a rider like smite or sneak attack that just adds dice to the roll.
@SevenSidedDie In what way is the text in my question even related to that question? intent behind the question doesn't have any bearing whatsoever in this unless it is stated in the written question.

Okay... I actually don't think this is a dupe. The answer is almost painfully obvious. The power includes the phrase "extra damage" and doesn't in any way talk about modifying the weapon, but in effect, the linked-as-duplicate QA picks up where this one leaves off.

@Eternallord66 Artificially warping questions to hide the real question is damaging to our mission of curating real questions. Being argumentative about something obvious—claiming that you’re not deliberately obfuscating your real question to get it reopened—is mildly insulting to the intelligence of voters.

5:27 PM
@SevenSidedDie As i see it the question i have is possibly a question others may have that aren't even thing about that other question. You are denying them coming here and seeing a possible answer to this question. You are actually damaging the mission by blocking possible answers

@SevenSidedDie actually, I think that he's legitimately made this into a different question, that is not a dupe. Unfortunately, it's both a low-quality question and poorly written.

@Eternallord66 Let's slow down a bit. Is your question whether or not Divine Fury counts as weapon dice with regard to GWF?
If it' something else, what is it? I still don't fully understand what it is your asking.

@NautArch No the current question has nothing to do with GWF

The answer to the linked question is "GWF counts for weapon damage dice". There are apparently a few other rules that are also affected by what is and what is not weapon damage dice. The question here is "does Divine Fury directly affect weapons damage dice?" @Eternallord66 is that more or less accurate?

@Eternallord66 Please try and stay calm me with me. I'm not trying to be argumentative, i'm just trying to help focus the question.
@Eternallord66 So what effect are you trying to understand with this? Although, that isn't a requirement, it does help with whether or not there is a question behind this that having the knowledge of it being weapon dice or not matters.

5:34 PM
@BenBarden yes basically

@Eternallord66 So you're just simply asking whether or not Divine Fury counts as weapon damage dice outside of any other mechanic? There isn't a follow-up question you have that requires this bit of knowledge? I mean, that's totally fine, but without a relevant mechanic it influences, it seems like it's missing something.

@NautArch I understood the answers from the other question but one of the answers made me wonder on whether the divine fury acts as making the weapon (I used great sword as an example but it could be any weapon) like that of a flametongue that has weapon damage die plus damage type die or would it be just like as if you are rolling smite

If that's correct, I can clean it up so that's simply what you're asking.
@Eternallord66 So then this really is whether or not divine fury can be rerolled with GWF?

No it isn't. I just got the question from one of those answers. In the end it has nothing to do with gwf
It's just like what a lot of people do here. "I got this question because of this answer" type of thing

@Eternallord66 Okay, I was confused because you just referenced it above as part of your question.

5:40 PM
@NautArch one answer to the linked-as-duplicate question says, in essence, "it applies only to weapons damage dice". The question of "Huh. Okay. Well is this particular thing weapons damage dice?" is an entirely reasonable follow-on question... if perhaps a bit trivial.

If it had nothing to do with the GWF question, I don't understand why you just brought it back up.
@BenBarden Well, then it's a duplicate of this question. i think.

I didn't say it had nothing to do with the question. I said it had nothing to do with gwf
It would be related to the question you just linked but not a duplicate.

@NautArch that, I will not argue with.
@Eternallord66 what is there in your question that is not in the question that NautArch just linked?
Are you having difficulty applying that answer to this specific case?

That question is asking if the fire damage is weapon damage die. The flametongue in the question is 1d8+2d6 fire. My question is would divine fury even make the weapon I'm using be worded like that temporarily

That question only uses the flametongue as an example. The question is about the totality of what dice count as weapon damage dive

5:49 PM
Ok i'll break it down more. If i have the extra attack feature would my strikes be 2d6+1d6 for the first then 2d6 for the second or would it be 2d6 and add 1d6 for the first then the second is 2d6. the wording is what i'm concerned with

@Eternallord66 I'm not sure I see a difference?

@Eternallord66 we understand what your'e asking now. That's nto the question.

I didn't think i had to word it that simple for people to understand.

@Eternallord66 I still don't understand the difference between your two cases. And wording a question as simply and clearly as possible is something we should always strive for.
Here and everywhere.

I'm pretty sure you're asking whether the additional damage counts as part of the "weapon damage dice" and I think asking this in the abstract is a bad idea. It makes it very hard to read and unintuitive, and it also means we can't see why you're asking the question. Framing this in terms of a feature (such as GWM) would help, and in any case I believe this is still a duplicate of "what count as weapon damage dice?" since you're asking "Does X count as weapon damage dice?"

5:54 PM
@Medix2 The why doesn't matter
I updated the question to hopefully make it clear.

if the why doesn't matter, then it's 100% a duplicate of what are weapon damage dice.
Is there something in the Q (and following A) that doesn't cover this case?

@BenBarden The linked question and its answers do not answer what i am asking
I took the term weapon damage dice out of the question because you are all getting hung up over the wrong aspect.

Honestly, I'm still unclear. I don't understand how you aren't asking whether or not divine fury counts as a weapon damage die.

Yes, i may be wording things incorrectly for you all to understand and i accept that. I have a specific question i am asking and it is not a duplicate of anything so far stated. If there is a valid question it is a duplicate of i will accept that, but so far nothing is a duplicate.

@Eternallord66 Okay, then let's try and figure out what you're asking.
You've currently stated that you aren't asking if Divine Fury is considered part of a weapon's damage die.
But you haven't stated what you're trying to ask (or not clearly to me, at least.)

6:04 PM
Divent Fury is unlike the other features as far as i can tell. It is unclear if the damage is a rider like smite or sneak attack or if it changes the inherent properties of the weapon to be similar to that of a flametongue or frostbrand
Temporarily that is
I understand that it does not make the weapon magical
@NautArch Does that help?

@Eternallord66 It does, but this also seems to be asking whether or not Divine Fury is part of a weapon's damage dice or something else. Which is equivalent to "WHat are weapon damage dice". It's a different way of asking the same thing.
Using a specific case. But the specific case doesn't change that the general applies to it.

I see where you are coming from, however it is not exactly the same. the end of the answer says this
Pretty much everything else that isn't the above. If the die isn't included in the base stats of the weapon, then it's not included. This includes race/class/spell features that are above and beyond the base weapon stats.
I'm wondering if Divine Fury essentially changes the base stats of the weapon or not

@Eternallord66 Per that question and my answer, no it does not.
Base stats are base stats. If you're adding sometning to them, then it's no longer base stats.
But this does seem to confirm you're asking the same question, just with a different example. But the question is general that I've answered, and my answer is general and can be applied to any instance.
If it's not clear, or you think it's missing something, You can always put a bounty up on it and asking for more clarification.

6:29 PM
@NautArch Whether something changes the base stats of a weapon is not the same as what are weapon damage dice.

@Eternallord66 yes, it is. It's just a different way of asking it (which is what dupes are for and why they're good.)

Divine Fury is worded in a way where it could possibly changing the base stats
Explain how it is the same please because it is NOT the same. I'm not asking if the 1d6 is weapon damage dice. I'm asking if Divine Fury alters the base stats of weapons temporarily
@NautArch I've edited to try to help clarify again

@Eternallord66 YOu are asking if DIvine FUry is considered damage dice. It is a duplicate of "WHat are weapon damage dice' with a specific example. BUt it is still just asking "what are damage dice". The answer to that question includes that only base stats of a weapon constitute weapon damage dice and the answer goes on to explicitly state taht any class/race/spell features are not weapon damage dice.
Divine Fury is an example of a racial feature, and thus is not considered a weapon damage dice. And the circle completes.

That answer was worded as an opinion and before Divine Fury even existed. What makes you think features cannot change stats?

@Eternallord66 If they changed the stats of the weapon they would say that, not add extra damage to the attack

6:39 PM
I am not asking what are damage dice so you are wrong. I can't help it if you can't understand a simple concept like i'm saying. I am asking if the BASE STATS are changed.

@Eternallord66 My answer is worded with a rules citation and also includes a follow-up showing designer intent. I generally don't love doing that, but in this case I think it was helpful. If you think there is a different answer to that question, then I suggest you answer it rather than re-ask it.

@Someone_Evil If that is the case then that should be in an answer form.

@Eternallord66 Please remember to be civil and respectful

@Eternallord66 Okay, if that's the way this discussion is going, i'm going to move on. I wish you best of luck in figuring this out.

@NautArch Again that citation is not able to be viewed by me. Why can't you people stop just linking things that not everyone can see?
As far as i can see it is just talking about savage attacks and savage attacks is different from Divine Fury

6:43 PM
@Eternallord66 What are you referring to?

@Eternallord66 Please stop with the accusatory language (insert you people quote from tropic thunder), but the link is to the digital resource. I also have the page citation and a direct quote included in the answer. As well as JC's tweet quoted directly besides the digital link.

@Someone_Evil I'm refering to the linked JC discussion

@Eternallord66 On this answer? That's a perfectly normal twitter thread with no access limitations. If twitter is blocked on your network that's not our fault

The page number talks about mundane weapons. I can't see the JC discussion. Nothing in that answer says anything about RAW or RAI about whether a feature can change the base stats. Spells can change the base stats so it is shown that base stats can be changed.

@Eternallord66 Then I suggest you either submit a new answer that you believe is correct or put a bounty up saying the current answers aren't sufficient and what you're looking for. Re-asking is not the process here.

6:50 PM
@Someone_Evil The point i was making about that is i know many people that do not have access to various links like DND Beyond and Twitter. Answers should be made where there would not be restrictions that would prevent EVERYONE from seeing it.

but disagreeing with an answer or thinking it's incomplete is not cause for asking the question again.

@NautArch I'm not reasking anything because that answer and question is not relevant to my question

@Eternallord66 okay, good luck then. I am a firm believer it's a duplicate and don't see a case where it's not. But I also don't see a point in continuing to debate because it doesn't seem that you are willing to change and I am not either.

@Eternallord66 The short answer is "the latter" and no, it does not alter weapon stats. But as the question is closed, I don't have anything further to add.

@NautArch Even if your answer were to address my question it would not make it a duplicate of the QUESTION

6:56 PM
@Eternallord66 Also, I need to get back to my Xanathar's and my PHB to point to a few similar class features as a point of comparison/similarity. (And you might want to look at the +2, +3, or +4 rage damage a barbarian does and note that they don't change the base stats of a weapon either ...)

@KorvinStarmast I would love to know your reasoning on that because so far nothing i have seen gives any evidence one way or another

@Eternallord66 Only if the question gets reopened.
Also, I can't say further now as I do not have the books in front of me, just that quote in your question. I need a bit more context, I think.

@KorvinStarmast I know the rage bonus doesn't change the base stats

I'll get back to you later when I have all of my stuff available to provide a bit more detail.

@KorvinStarmast I'm thinking i need to do a complete edit to get my point across

6:58 PM
@Eternallord66 That will be fine also. :)

@KorvinStarmast How does that edit look?

I'd say "class features" rather than 'features' to be very explicit/clear

@KorvinStarmast I'm not asking about just class features. Basically can anything besides those twospells alter the weapon.

7:28 PM
@Eternallord66 Hmm, OK, is this something like a "limited in scope" list question, then?

1 hour later…
8:34 PM
@NautArch It seems like they may be shooting for a specific answer, not a general one yes? Or did that come from chat?

and yet, they get marked as Dupe, and then unmarked, and then marked, and then....

@G.Moylan Definitely a good sign that something should be taken to Meta.
@goodguy5 hahaha genius.

@Rubiksmoose It kinda/sorta came from chat as means to differentiate.

To me, as currently written and having only vaguely read the chat, it seems to be not a dupe, but close to one.
@NautArch Is there it intended to ask about class features in general, or just that one specifically?

ANY features

8:40 PM
Thanks :)

I tried to clear it up further by making it as short as possible

I further cleaned up the edit, @Rubiksmoose

@Eternallord66 Thank you very much for working with us. I'm sure it has been frustrating, and I really appreciate your understanding and patience.

I might also recommend removing the assumption on Elemental/Magic weapon. I'm not sure that's true or not and may need it's own question.

@NautArch Those do change the stats of weapons in that they make the weapons magical and add a +1 to the weapon.

8:45 PM
but they don't change the dice you use for the damage roll

@Eternallord66 And I know you're frustrated, but you really need to be careful with the tone and accusations. We're all trying to help and do what's best for querents and the site here.
@G.Moylan @Eternallord66 bingo.

For the querents the question should never have been made a dupe. My question in any of its forms was never a dupe of any question.
@G.Moylan My question as i last edited it isn't talking about the dice

@Eternallord66 I understand you feel that way, but from the language that was in there, it wasn't clear what you were asking. If it was, we wouldn't be here.
Please do not continue to be aggressive and assume bad faith.

@G.Moylan Elemental Weapon does add an extra die to the weapon damage

@Eternallord66 this is getting into a discussion of a meta topic I intend to post sometime today or tomorrow, about "duplicate" questions that ask different things but illicit the same answers. I haven't dug through yet to see if that itself will be a dupe, but I imagine we will hash it out there
@Eternallord66 extra die is not the same as die type. Your original query seemed to refer to changing from a d6 to a d8, for example

8:48 PM
@G.Moylan That almost certainly would be a dupe of our most-linked Meta QA on duplicates

@Eternallord66 I think you need to ask that as a separate question. It's different and using it as an assumption for this one isn't accurate until determined.

Q: If an answer to question A can be found in question B, should we close A as duplicate of B?

enkryptorRelated: Non-duplicate question with answer in another question Should/can we change the Duplicate notification? Situation — there are two different questions Aq and Bq. Question Aq has a specific answer Aa. Question Bq has a good detailed answer, which includes points Aa, Ba and Ca. Should ...

But that may also be duped to the other question.

@Rubiksmoose this is n't general vs specific, though, this is different questions entirely. See the question I asked earlier

@NautArch What do you mean? It is a relevant part of the question since it gives two examples of something that can alter stats. That gives a basis for knowing stats can change.

8:50 PM
I thin kthe confusion is coming from the use of the word "stats" here

@Eternallord66 I fundamentally disagree that those spells change a weapon's damage die. It isn't proven in any way that they do, so using it as an assumption is incorrect.

what exactly do you consider to be part of a weapon's "stats"?

My question now doesn't mention die anywhere

And, in fact, my answer to weapon's damage dice disagree with the assumption as well.

@NautArch @Eternallord66 More relevantly to you, the asker, having an assumption that is false (or controversial to others) can distract them from the core of your question and lead to confusion, unwanted questioning of your premise in the answers, etc.

8:51 PM
Magical/ nonmagical, +! +2 +3, Die size, Modifier type etc.

To give you a further idea of how poorly my brain is working I just had to search Meta to remember the term "frame challenge"
:\

I thought "stats" was self-explanatory
Maybe i was wrong that it was an easy term

I would consider a weapon's stats to be their base damage die, type, and any properties (light, finesse, etc.). Spells can augment this, by adding additional damage types or extra damage dice. However, that is a result of a spell granting a bonus to the weapon, not altering the base "stats" of that weapon. It seems nitpicky but I think the differentiation is important here
That said, let me review those two spells RQ

@G.Moylan Either way, This isn't in any way about "what are damage dice"

@Rubiksmoose Yes, and it gets even moreso as you pass each decade marker .

8:55 PM
@KorvinStarmast Joy!

@Rubiksmoose last time that happened to me I had mono. I was 27
@G.Moylan elicit Illicit is more or less illegal. :-)

@KorvinStarmast good catch, thank you

@NautArch I am not being aggressive. I am being frustrated because the QUESTIONS have never been a duplicate of each other. Early on you and others kept referring to the answer instead of the question. The actual questions were never the same.

@KorvinStarmast Oof. Let's hope I'm not going down that road.

@Eternallord66 At this point, doubling down isn't doing you any favors. I'd move forward with the idea that the question wasn't clear, that the community is trying to help you clarify, and that everyone is acting in good faith.

8:59 PM
@Eternallord66 it looks to me like the confusion cropped up, again, over the use of the word "stats." It seems like your editors are operating on the interpretation that "stats" refers to base damage dice, while you are considering that to be dsomething different. I'm not sure how your question about rerolling 1s and 2s turned into "does this alter my weapon stats," since the rerolling is not a feature of the weapon, but of the class and path. It looks like the question just need s major rewrite

@Rubiksmoose that's two of us. Mono sucks harder than a vacuum cleaner. :(
@Eternallord66 I suggest that we refer to weapon properties, not weapon stats
that would be consistent with game text usage

Even if it was talking about damage dice, one question is asking what they are and the other would be asking if they can change. Those are two different questions. My question now doesn't even mention dice.

@Eternallord66 I see your frustration, but right now all that is clear is there was some kind of miscommunication along the way. However, that's done and we can't go back and change it. What we can change, though, is your question. Let's work to improve that

@KorvinStarmast Stats or properties either way are the same thing

@Eternallord66 no, game text is specific for a reason. using consistent language reduces the possibility of conflating intended meaning

9:03 PM
@Eternallord66 One of the critical properties of a weapon is whether or not attacks with it count as magical attacks (or silvered attacks) or not.

If properties would work better then so be it. I think people would think primarily about things like light, finesse, two-handed etc. and not think about everything else

well there's damage type, damage die, properties, etc. there are specific terms for all these pieces

Well, I can't be of any more use until I get where my books are, so I'll sideline myself for the moment.

The PHB starting on page 146 lists weapon properties. Those are ammunition, finesse, heavy, light, loading, range, reach, special, thrown, two-handed and versatile. Nowhere does it mention anything about dice size/type, magical or not or any +! +2 +3
@G.Moylan Yes, and stats covers all of those

@Eternallord66 Honestly, that is what I would immediately think of if you asked about "properties"

9:08 PM
@Eternallord66 but the point is that "Stats" is vague because it isn't a game term, so people all have different assumptions about what you mean by that

ONe solution is just to define the term in your question

@Eternallord66 I'd like to step back again. Let's begin at the beginning. WHat is the problem we're trying to solve. We're getting into minutiae without understanding the goal.

@Rubiksmoose or use the exisiting game term, like damage die
or whatever the term is you're trying to address

@Rubiksmoose It was mentioned that properties was a specific game term. I just showed what that term is and how it does not cover everything

@G.Moylan That's certainly another solution, yes.
@Eternallord66 Right. I was agreeing with you.

9:09 PM
in its original form, it looked like your question was asking about rerolling 1s and 2s, right?

@Rubiksmoose Yes, i know. i was just stating what was being said about what properties are.
@G.Moylan Originally yes but it has evolved since then

@Eternallord66 so what are you actual-factual trying to ask us, then? Ask here, and we'll work to get a stackable question together
I'm sure the lot of us workign together can get there. I've had questions that I brought here for clarification, too, and it worked out

@G.Moylan as an aside, we can only move comments to chat once. That's why people are highly encouraged to use a chat once it is opened, because our only solution to cleaning up the comments outside of that first chat is deletion.

aha. TIL

I have edited it again

9:13 PM
Unrelated but hopefully helpful: If this does end up turning into a bounded list question I'll just restate some things I've been told. Even though they are allowed they often end up feeling like "somebody else do this work for me" and I've had my own bounded lists be met both negatively and positively with no consistent logic between the sentiments (we're working with humans after all, not robots). Bounded lists are met with a variety of ideas regarding their closure

@Eternallord66 I think that's going to be too broad. THere are LOTS of ways to change various properties. If there's a specific property you're interested in, then that's the best question to ask.
But as asked, the correct answer is "yes", and maybe a couple ofe xamples thrown in, but that doesn't really help anyone.

@Medix2 Just to clarify i am not asking for a list. I am asking if anything other than spells can change weapons

@Eternallord66 then the answer is yes
but that isn't a stackable question

What would a stackable question be then?

@Eternallord66 What are you trying to find out specifically?

9:15 PM
asking for specific examples, which would be a bounded list

But across all properties would likely be not well enough bounded
Bounded would likely require a single property.

@NautArch no not at all. We need to narrow the focus. Maybe two characteristics at the most
say, magical or +1, +2, etc.

You say yes but as every other question that gets a yes on here it should be backed up by some kind of examples.

@G.Moylan and defining what type of feature.
@Eternallord66 I still think we're all getting ahead of ourselves. WHat is the problem you're trying to solve with this question?

Anything other than spells

9:17 PM
So you just want an example of some thing?

so, abilities granted by Feats, Backgrounds, Classes, Items?
that's a huge selection
@G.Moylan heck, what about non-spell creature abilities? some of those like with the Gray Ooze can alter your weapon's characteristics

There are many examples of questions that are like this that is not closed and with various answers that give different answers. Why is my question getting beaten down?

@Eternallord66 I'd focus less on figuring out what happened at this point and more on getting a question and answer that useful to you.

@NautArch I agree. What happened has happened, and we can only move forward

My question is Can any features alter the base stats of weapons? That is a specific question that may have many differing answers

9:20 PM
Would a rust monster's penalty to damage rolls count for you? Why/why_not?
Why does it matter whether base stats are altered?

@Eternallord66 I'm asking this not because you have to answer it, but out of curiosity (and maybe the answer will help clarify things): why do you want to know this?

@Eternallord66 Why are you interested in that? That can help narrow this down.

I changed it to player features. Is that better?

@Eternallord66 Not for me, it isn't, no.

I simply want to know if it is possible and maybe some examples of it happening RAW

9:22 PM
@Eternallord66 The simple answer is that Yes, it's possible, and can give some examples. But they won't be all examples because that's not what you're asking. If you simply want to know if class/race features can affect weapon properties, that's really simple.

It isn't anything to do with creating a character or something that happened in a game. It just a curiosity

Asking what they all are and what they can do is an enormous list.

@Eternallord66 check my edit
"features" can mean any game feature

@NautArch I never asked for all or what they can do

@Eternallord66 If you're simply asking can this be done, then the simple answer is yes, it can.

9:24 PM
I think that clarifies it, but I need you to ensure me that it did

@Eternallord66 Does the current edit look fine then?

@KorvinStarmast Yes it does clarify it.

Good. :)

What makes any answer better than another with this question? I can say yes and provide one example and someone else can do the same with another example.

My big concern right now is that is still marked as a dupe when it isn't and it has no way of getting any possible answers

9:25 PM
I've already voted to reopen on a previous iteration, so I can't do anything.

@NautArch I understand that

@Eternallord66 Does my edit look good?

it is now open

@Rubiksmoose That works

I still personally disagree with the use of "Stats" and would instead advocate "characteristics" but I'm not sure how close to nitpicking that gets at this point

9:28 PM
@Eternallord66 I cleaned up the comments under your question.

@G.Moylan Characteristics would work i think

@G.Moylan As a word smith, I agree

@G.Moylan As long as the term is defined somewhere, I think it should be good.

I would like answers to be RAW but i'm not sure how to include that as it is

The two that pop to mind are monk weapon (the die changing at level up) and Warlock Invocation that makes the pact weapon into a magic weapon
@Eternallord66 It takes a rule citation to support this, I think you are good as is.

9:30 PM
I'm going to go ahead and move all this over to the chat under the question so people can refer to what happened

But I think there are a few others ...

@KorvinStarmast Ok. I just wanted to be clear
