I saw it on the features page after I made the quip and figured it's been there for ages
At the mo I'm trying to figure out if Xen does seamless/interventionless hibernation of the host, ie hibernate/suspend the guests on hibernate, auto resume on resume
But a live-fire test is probably easier than figuring out if it's possible from the docs or internet searches
I guess a downside of a long-running project is you get some really really old results
But on the plus~ side I know it wasn't considered possible in 2006!
Ah, IRC, the fastest and still the best!
> its been an open todo for someone to figure out for a decade
At least that's an answer; and I can give suspend a try
Now that t turns out the GoT finale sucked, I'm so happy I never started watching the series in the first place
hahahahahahahahahaahahahahah
@Burgi I've been cycling on city roads and highways for half a decade now. I've never crashed into another vehicle.
A car did once hit me tho, and I ended up breaking a bone. It was being driven by what was clearly a drunk driver, and he sped away before I even got up, and left me lying on the road.
I was lucky that it was a red light earlier down the road, so I had time to get up. Otherwise, I would've almost certainly been run over by incoming traffic.
The one time I ran into a stationary object (it was not a vehicle), literally nothing happened because my bike stopped as soon at my front tire made contact
we have millions of miles of roads, there is a HUGE cost associated with replacing all the road signs and gantries, educating the public and then enacting the change
@bertieb The thing is, having a standard isn't enough. Everyone has to agree on one. Most of the world has agreed on SI because of how simple it is, and therefore it Just Works (TM).
Anyway, I was just about to say how it's cool that I can talk using SI units, and someone living across the world in Brazil will know exactly how much I mean
@bertieb It really doesn't matter, since the relation between C and K is just to add/subtract 274.15
I could probably extract what I need without even running it tbh, but I kinda need to figure out exactly what was running on it in case I need to reinstate services elsewhere
Funnily~, my router still happily tells dhcp clients to use the server for DNS, I can't find the setting to change that advertisement
Which confuses me on an ongoing basis, as different devices clearly have different amounts of DNS caching
like last night I played a couple of games of Rocket League just fine before connections to games started timing out (though I was still getting a slot reserved on those servers from the master list); oops Windows install was still trying to use old server
> Liberty believes South Wales Police has used facial recognition the most of the three forces, at about 50 deployments, including during the policing of the Champions League final in Cardiff in June 2017, where it emerged that, of the 2,470 potential matches made, 92% (2,297) were wrong.
> You have two possible paths ahead. Right now, I guarantee you that these athletes have more courage, compassion, brains and skill ― actually more of every positive human quality than you. So take their path ― you could learn from them, and try to challenge yourself, to give back, to add something to the world.
> Or you can stay on your path, and keep being a sad pitiful jealous Internet troll who adds nothing to the world but mocks anyone who does out of small-minded jealousy. I know that all you really want is attention, so let me be clear. If you choose to keep going this way, no one will ever remember you.
HURR PLAY THIS VIDEO GAME AND THEN GO KILL INNOCENT PEOPLE IN OTHER COUNTRIES THAT HAVE DONE NOTHING TO US AND THEN YOU GET TO SUFFER WITH PTSD AND NO VETERAN SUPPORT!!!! HURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
The United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is a federal Cabinet-level agency that provides near-comprehensive healthcare services to eligible military veterans at VA medical centers and outpatient clinics located throughout the country; several non-healthcare benefits including disability compensation, vocational rehabilitation, education assistance, home loans, and life insurance; and provides burial and memorial benefits to eligible veterans and family members at 135 national cemeteries.
While veterans benefits have been provided since the American Revolutionary War, an exclusively...
