At the mo I'm trying to figure out if Xen does seamless/interventionless hibernation of the host, ie hibernate/suspend the guests on hibernate, auto resume on resume

But a live-fire test is probably easier than figuring out if it's possible from the docs or internet searches

I guess a downside of a long-running project is you get some really really old results

But on the plus~ side I know it wasn't considered possible in 2006!

the british cycling foundation offers road insurance to its members but that is entirely optional

@Burgi I've been cycling on city roads and highways for half a decade now. I've never crashed into another vehicle.

A car did once hit me tho, and I ended up breaking a bone. It was being driven by what was clearly a drunk driver, and he sped away before I even got up, and left me lying on the road.

I was lucky that it was a red light earlier down the road, so I had time to get up. Otherwise, I would've almost certainly been run over by incoming traffic.

Funnily~, my router still happily tells dhcp clients to use the server for DNS, I can't find the setting to change that advertisement

Which confuses me on an ongoing basis, as different devices clearly have different amounts of DNS caching

like last night I played a couple of games of Rocket League just fine before connections to games started timing out (though I was still getting a slot reserved on those servers from the master list); oops Windows install was still trying to use old server

So updating the BIOS seems to have worked okay

And the server now resumes from S3 as it should

However it's a bit slow/laggy, despite a low load (~0.2)

ping's 100-500ms, where it should be < 1ms

any thoughts?
