In computer networking, the Link Control Protocol (LCP) forms part of the Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP), within the family of Internet protocols. In setting up PPP communications, both the sending and receiving devices send out LCP packets to determine the standards of the ensuing data transmission.
The LCP protocol:
checks the identity of the linked device and either accepts or rejects the device
determines the acceptable packet size for transmission
searches for errors in configuration
can terminate the link if requirements exceed the parameters
Devices cannot use PPP to transmit data over a...
Please note, to my fellow Academia people, that my age is not the concern and not the reason for asking this question. It is not at all a duplicate question; I have looked everywhere on this site, before asking the question.
In the statement of purpose, I want to reveal my passion for legal stu...
@RahulBasu Don't give someone the keys to your house asking him whether it's sturdy enough when you're not prepared to deal with the consequences if it isn't.
I really feel bad about the whole testing thing, but at least he was able to recover.
my whole intention originally was to attempt to write a ssh authorized_key and remote into his machine and send him a screenshot to show how easy it would have been hackable with a POC.
but like again, ' wasnt trying to be destructive '
:P
@DavidPostill: Hows it going today bud? Should add me on linked in :P
Anyhow, Trying to find a cheap sound card that's USB with component ports (SPDIF / Line / or RCA) outputs that can do at least DD 7.1 SS.
The pc that runs the software that works with my midi keyboard doesnt have this, and is making it impossibro to hook up to my sound system.
I'm trying to make a SIMPLE HELLO WORLD program for native api
and then CLIPPY gets in the way
and I have the windows ddk installed..
but it keeps erroring out for one reason or another because I keep using the wrong include and none of the tutorials talk about the right include to use and where to put it
The Native API (with capitalized N) is the application programming interface (API) used by Windows NT and user mode applications. It is usually used during system boot, when other components of Windows are unavailable, and by routines such as those in kernel32.dll that implement the Windows API. The entry point of ntdll.dll is LdrInitializeThunk. Most of the Native API calls are implemented in ntoskrnl.exe and are exposed to user mode by ntdll.dll. Some Native API calls are implemented in user mode directly within ntdll.dll.
Native API calls are handled by the kernel via the SSDT.
While most of...
@Private I rejected your edit for the linux-subsystem-windows tag wiki excerpt in error. I could have sworn the correct name was "Linux Subsystem for Windows", but I just double-checked, and it is not. My bad.
Fortunately, the edit can still be approved, and I hope it is
There are a bunch of other stories about people reverting thier nvidea drivers back even further 344 and something lower even, and getting huge changes in frame rates in very specific games. the variations of the change , and the method used, led me to believe that some if it may be due to "mix-up"
Like some will finnaly do a full real cleanup of the mess made there, prior to (more) cleanly installing the driver.
I think most people do not realise what a huge quantity of crap , err i mean file items and registry changes are made via either of the video companies driver/software packages.
ahh what still bothers me is ATI driver programmers have to do the most sofisticated programming to interface the hardware proper, then thier GUI is done in .Net (barf)
"In 1977, Ken Olsen, the founder and CEO of Digital Equipment Corporation, said, "There is no reason for any individual to have a computer in his home."
The modern computer user demands mobility and access everywhere, and modern computer systems are powerful enough to enable productivity on even compact, lightweight, and low-power devices.
With advances in computer technology, ubiquitous Internet access, and the demands of the modern economy, the economies of scale and performance potential of high-powered servers shared amongst many users are becoming evident once again.
In either RAID 6 or RAID 10, you'll have 12 TB of usable space. RAID 6 is slower but will cope with two disk failures. RAID 10 will handle at least one (and possibly, but not always two) failures, but is faster.
I think the 6TB disks are doing a "6hr mode" thing that worked poorly for VCRs for long term storage. overlapping or just too extreeme of density, when it would have been "smarter" to change the form factor to way more platters shoved in there ?
"SMR technology that writes data in partially overlapping tracks " this technology i would rather wait for years to see how that pans out.
Like i said 6hr mode vcrs used that same "idea" and besides being barely there to begin with, over time the data was much harder to "track" retrieve and tended to (act like) it depolarised sooner.
in that situation , the manufactures could care less what they were handing people, they just wanted to give them the cute features and the cute numbers.
With hard drives being amazingly stable and long lasting, like anything I have to watch out for when they break that trend and leave me high and dry.
I have searched online including youtube to know about how connect to a secured network(wifi) without knowing the key. But it seems there isn't a way to that.Is there a way to connect to a secured wifi using windows 10 operating system? If any how should go about it
I am interested to copy down all my site
