@DragonLord some OSes can be extremely resistant to being booted from USB, so you'd either have to own an ISOstick, or burn a coaster, in which case you'd probably need an external DVD drive since so few things have internal optical drives anymore

what i did, just disassemble the phone, take out that big flex cable. disconnect all cameras and flex cables you can (unless you want a blurry camera)
on a back of flex there is metal slab covering chip, took it out. after that i heat chip area for minute or so with my soldering heating gun, wait until it cools and install in the phone, after doing this operations it started working.

@PatoSáinz currently i think the default is 160 kbps ogg/vorbis (encrypted) fetched from spotify, then decoded to [email protected] PCM by libspotify, then encoded via LAME with quality=1 (CPU-intensive, but very good results) at 192 Kbps... but I'm making both settings configurable

spotify can stream at 96 Kbps, 160 Kbps or 320 Kbps, and then I can let the user select which spotify quality to fetch, and which LAME bitrate to encode into

won't be hard at all to add, just haven't had a chance... spent this evening preparing the project for the initial commit

there are a LOT of downsides to AAC, but purely on psychoacoustics I think it's better for music listening
