My large parameter GMP-ECM runs, on the other hand, took more time (4 days, 3 hours) but many fewer iterations. The Alpertron uses at most B1 = 11e6 and about 2500 of those runs, while I got the answer from GMP-ECM (serial processing) with B1 = 1e9 and 40 runs.
