@Camilla no, you just need your own account to access it using ssh

It's like you will be controlling the server terminal from your laptop's terminal

@Camilla ask someone who is familiar with facility about the workload manager. Some people use pbs, some use slurm, some use loadleveler etc. Then whatever is used, you may want to learn a few basic syntax of that

@Camilla A cluster sometimes is divided into two parts: head node and computing nodes. You have all the software installed in the head node. But to use them in computing node, you need to load those modules one by one. But i think you dont need to know this since you said that this is a server which is not a cluster

The module command is used to load specific variables related to the software instead of going to the path where the software is installed. See this
