Q: Define a geometry region using 'for' loop in MuMax3

Arindam SamantaI was trying to define regions using a 'for' loop. Please find the regions: defregion(0, xrange(-1024e-9, -964e-9)) defregion(1, xrange(-964e-9, -844e-9)) defregion(2, xrange(-844e-9, -784e-9)) defregion(3, xrange(-784e-9, -664e-9)) defregion(4, xrange(-664e-9, -604e-9)) defregion(5, xrange(-604e...

@AnoopANair So I understand that submitting the jobs to the scheduler will automatically run the job on Compute nodes but if just run the pw.x script like I do on the laptop it will try to run on the login in node. Leading to my job getting terminated or the wort case scenario bringing down the login node itself.

And the first thing I will do is ask the admin about this too to get a better understanding.

@ParmeetSinghEP066 Yes if you run pw.x from the command line, it will run on the login node, and may bring down the node and do a lot of damage to a lot of users, so I would not recommend running pw.x from the command line. Instead, run the submission.sh script, which will send the pw.x command to a compute node.
I would not recommend to ask your sys admin about this. It will just be a waste of their time and yours. Submitting jobs is one of the most basic things in HPC. You may need your sys admin for much more complicated things later, so I don't recommend wasting their time on this.
Perhaps run some very basic commands on the compute nodes through the submission script, before trying pw.x
This way you can practice a bit, without worrying about bringing down the login node.
