@PeterTurner I'm encouraged further to read his books when I found that Brenton Dickieson, a first rate C.S. Lewis scholar I highly value for his contribution in his C.S. Lewis website A Pilgrim in Narnia, considers Sir Terry Pratchett a "mythopoeic master" (as C.S. Lewis is) in his 2017 article From the Mouths of Atheists: Faith Lessons from Terry Pratchett.
That article contains a list of books that deals with the nature of belief and matters of faith.
Reminds me that I have yet to watch the Monty Python's movies.

@GratefulDisciple The only first-rate Catholic sci-fi author I know of was Jerry Pournelle, I remember asking a question on sci-fi stackexchange (before C.SE existed) about "why is sci-fi so dang pagan?" obviously that question was deleted. They did mention Jerry Pournelle though, which was probably before he died, I probably should check him out, I think I've got some of his books in my parents attic.
