Did you see my question about SBC seminaries? I think you've found the answer!

@PeterTurner Maybe Nestorianism would fit? They teach a trinity of three divine persons, where the Son of God is united with a human person Jesus.

@curiousdannii Yes, I was doing a little search on it, by way of textbooks listed in their Systematic Theology syllabi. They use either Wayne Grudem, Millard Erickson, or Daniel Akin, ed.. Old standards, quite disappointing. They also use a couple volumes from the Foundations of Evangelical Theology series.

@curiousdannii The 2015 book seems to be the abridged version of either his 1st edition (2012) or his 2nd edition published in 2018 which he much improved. Since I like what I see so far about his presuppositions (use ANE research, etc.), I just purchased the 2018 Kindle version and will start reading it.

@curiousdannii I have yet to encounter a real Nestorian on the site or in real life. But I've read a lot of Nestorian-sounding things handling flags!
I'd like to nuke too much of a cop-out tag. I just don't like it. There's no authority that'd connect Jehovahs witnesses and Mormons so they can't have a cohesive answer. For too many Christians it sees to just mean "people I don't like and would like to argue with".
I'd prefer if that wasn't blatantly "otherizing" them. But that's better than de-christianizing them as the fellow who commented on my question today. I don't like subtle barbs towards JW's and Mormons.

@GratefulDisciple I think it's an abridgement of the 2012. I'm not sure how the 2018 book compares, but it's probably better!
@PeterTurner Yeah the Church of the East is quite small, and there may be comparatively fewer English speaking adherents than most other denominations.
@PeterTurner Yeah you're probably right that non-trinitarian is too hetrogenous to be useful.

Q: Some tag change suggestions

curiousdanniigospels and gospel: these two tags get confused quite a lot. I think it would be a bit clearer if gospel was changed to the-gospel. ethics and morality: should these tags be merged? There's a lot of overlap between them. saint: this tag gets a lot of different things in it. What about if we spl...

@GratefulDisciple It's the pretty basic one about the existence of God at all, mostly. I suppose I do have some objections more specific to Christianity.
