@curiousdannii Hmm. I would think that Catholic and Orthodox views, or even a number of the early church fathers, would have a better claim than Swedenborg to having / being "the oldest known records of interpretation agreeing with New Perspective on Paul."
@El'endiaStarman Oh no . . . .

Q: Considering what was known about Hitler in 1933, why would German bishops declare that Catholics could cooperate with the new State?

neoPartially prompted by this other question "Were Hitler's anti-Jewish sentiments known at all to those who voted him to power in 1933?" According to the information in above question, the antisemitism and private death squads of the Nazi party were already public knowledge. The New Catholic Ency...

Q: How was my answer "clearly not the type of answer that the OP is looking for"?

JBHI participate on nearly a dozen SE forums and none delete questions and answers faster than C.SE. @Nathan deleted my answer to this question with the comment, "This is clearly not the type of answer that the OP is asking for. @LeakyNun Just a strange guy. He's harmless. He always obliges when we ask him to go to another room.

@fredsbend alright
looks like there were many instances of you dealing with this guy ;)

Yes. Quite a few going back years. I'm not too bothered by him. He never says anything rude or offensive. Sometimes it's frustrating because it will make sense at first, then follow with ten lines of nonsense. I usually just skip over what he says, but occasionally I'll read it.

@fredsbend agree

@LeakyNun lol at this point. You just been @Decrypted

Your ping is asking for trouble...

Lol, I know. I find his way of talking amusing sometimes, especially when some unsuspecting rube engages him.
Take your exchange for example. He said just enough to think he's saying something useful. And you naturally try to understand it. Then you're like "what, now?" and he just keeps going, then you think it's a reply. It's funny.
You: You're not making sense.
Him: Ah, it's because we agree.
Lol

@fredsbend =)
Just for good times, let's give a parable of the light switch.
A darkness lays across the room as the man sits at his computer.
He thinks aww if only there could have light for seeing whats around.
He walks at the light switch and all he does is flip the switch and the light shows.
The motion was allowed, and the light did shine.
Yet I'm confusing since I say that motion needs to occur for that light switch to happen, but I have yet to see the person move the light switch without motion.
And if anyone around them happens to see a light turn on literally while reading this.
There's a reason for that, and perhaps I'll just keep it to myself.

Q: Is Jewish persecution of Christians still happening today?

BorisIf not, at what point in history, and how, did it stop? But if so, what teachings in the Talmud/Tanach would Jews who still do that use to justify persecuting them? Also, why would those who persecute think it’d be okay to persecute Christians while at the same time condemning the persecution of...
