@Nathaniel Believe me, I really want to get there.

@fredsbend I'd be in favor. @Nathaniel is of course right about the challenges therein, but there are ways we could try to work around that. There are history books about African Christianity, for instance.
I think this site underrepresents Lutheran, JW, and Eastern Orthodox views as well. I'm sure there are plenty of others too.

@Mr.Bultitude Right. There's more than one group underrepresented here.
Something like "Christian group" or "denomination" of the month would work here I think.
If we do that, I suggest first a meta post asking for suggestions. Then a second one selecting the highest voted one and the first to study.
In that second post, we can list/answer with resources, basic facts, interesting concepts that may derive main site questions, and link to a chat room for further, unbridled discussion.

@fredsbend That sounds like a good format.

@fredsbend No pain, no gain! And how can anyone expect a major philosophical, cosmological, and theological question to be adequately answered in 200 words or less? At the time I wrote my answer, none of the answers looked to me like they solidly addressed the questions asked. They talked about them, but didn't really answer them.
Further, when presenting Swedenborg's ideas, I have to cover a lot of ground because many of his ideas are either unique to him or are developed in an entirely different way than they are by the well-known philosophers and theologians. So I can't assume much common knowledge, but have to build the answer from the ground up.

@Mr.Bultitude It used to underrepresent Swedenborgian views. But we've fixed that now. ;-)

@LeeWoofenden Quite true! I keep hoping that we'll get a new regular that covers one of those others.
Maybe someday...

Yesterday I asked two questions involving the Church of Scotland. Today we have a new user who is a minister in said church.

Q: Where did my answer go to?

FMSI believe I had an answer to: Protestant arguments for perpetual virginity of Mary where did it go to?

@TRiG That's the strategy. Fake it till you make it.
Here's some nerdy fun:
