@fredsbend That probably belongs on Super User now. Once you finish the steps you gave in the answer, you should run something like AdwCleaner (MalwareBytes or SAS might get it too, though they'll take longer), then reboot.

How did Satan, Lucifer, and the Devil get their names?
Why do Christians believe in angels and demons? Where in the Bible does it suggest that angels and demons exist?
Why do some Christians assume that angels are speaking as a representative for God?
Since when did Christians get the assumption that hell would be a pit full of fire, a place where the wicked would go after life, and that the devil rules there?
In popular culture, why is the Devil red with two spiky horns on top of its head and a tail with an arrowhead attached at the end?
Why do angels wear halos?
Do people (namely, the "good" Christians) become angels when they die?
How did concepts such as hell, heaven, and purgatory become incorporated into Christian theology, and why did purgatory later become rejected by Protestants?
Do people ever wash heirloom christening gowns?
Since when did the tradition of baptizing babies in christening gowns occur?
In the Disney movie Tangled's wedding ceremony scene, is that a depiction of an Anglican ceremony or a Roman Catholic ceremony?
How do you distinguish an Anglican ceremony from a Roman Catholic ceremony?
What is the swaying incense thingy in the Roman Catholic church for?
Can confirmation really be considered the Christian equivalent of a Jewish bar/bat mitzvah?
How come "praying hands" look like two palms' touching each other with the fingers stretched out and all vertical?
Why does that type of praying hands look distinctly different from the type of praying hands in which you simply intertwine or lock your fingers together?
Are there mnemonics to memorize the most important traditional prayers, or do you just have to remember them by rote in the same way you have to remember the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America?
Who was really Jesus's father, from a naturalistic perspective?
[By the way, the questions above are just a list of things that is going through my head at this moment.]
[I need to get rid of some clutter.]

@El'endiaStarman The Foglios did an IAmA on Reddit a couple of days ago, and one of the things they said is that Girl Genius is roughly half way through the overall story line.

@Anonymous Yup. Most Christian beliefs are Word of Dante.

@TRiG Oooh. Wow.

@Anonymous Satan means adversary and is not a name until later works. Lucifer is from a single verse in Isiah where he is called "The Morning Star," a phrase applied to Jesus as well. Devil is a generic word meant to imply "evil spirit" or something similar. This all leads into the case that there is no single person/angel who is the devil. All that are against God are Satan, the adversary. I think there are a few questions on the site that talk about this.
@Anonymous Legion, the collection of demons that Jesus himself spoke to. Starts Matthew 8:28. Pretty convincing there.
@Anonymous The devil ruling there is a misnomer that is very old and probably stems from Greek Mythology of Hades. Pit of fire is from Revelation.
@Anonymous lol

MODS AND ANYONE ELSE:
Isn't there some sort of auto delete on the site that checks for cursing and whatever. I just flagged a hateful message that started with "F*** your Church". Why doesn't the SE framework auto delete this?

@fredsbend SE sites in general are not as against profanity as Christianity.SE would be, methinks. For instance, head on over to EL&U and you'll see plenty of questions seriously discussing English swear words. Anyway, just took care of that "answer".

> Maybe we should also have a black Santa. But Santa is what he is.
Megyn Kelly, Fox News
> Oh joy, Fox's "War on Christmas" has now officially entered the ethnic cleansing phase.
Meanwhile, good news from Utah:
> Today, the Church disavows the theories advanced in the past that black skin is a sign of divine disfavor or curse, or that it reflects actions in a premortal life; that mixed-race marriages are a sin; or that blacks or people of any other race or ethnicity are inferior in any way to anyone else.

> Santa is not real. It's like complaining that Hamlet, a fictional character, is being played by a Black actor. You might as well be pissed off that Hamlet isn't being played by a real prince of Denmark.

@TRiG She's cute, but apparently stupid.
@El'endiaStarman I have been over the the English site and noticed the candid use of otherwise questionable terms. I did not think of that. I suppose that since all the sites run on the same engine, a feature request for this site would be declined, right?

MODS:
This User has posted something like this three times now. The other two were suggested edits that I rejected (at least I think it was this user based on the content being nearly identical). Just letting you guys know.

@fredsbend Probably, yeah. The users of this site are doing a pretty good job of flagging stuff like that though.

@TRiG I think people in different geographical locations imagine Jesus as a member of their race. I think Jesus would have looked like a typical person from the Middle East.
@JamesT I don't think it's generic. The priest is wearing a bishop's miter on top of his head.

@fredsbend I think auto-delete means you have to create a program that can identify inappropriate semantic content.
