@brilliant Test questions that are not real issues like this one are not the way to figure out what questions are good or bad or not. If you have a disagreement about what would be allowed or not or a question about what would make a question better or worse, ask about it on meta. Please don't waste people's time with fake questions on the main site. Thank you.

@Caleb You haven't answered my question yet.

@brilliant My answer to your question has no bearing on the validity of that question. My statement which you quoted but did not address still stands.
> @Caleb - "and none of those points have anything to do with the subject matter of the question" - and how can you be sure that this matter has never been considered in the Orthodox tradition? Have you read all their writings?
You knowingly lumped two non similar traditions together on an issue that one of them at least would clearly have no relevance to the matter. In doing so you make a nonsensical question that isn't worth people's time. The subject matter is also not a real problem that you face. Our faq specifically requires this (and not the part our community wrote, the part that we can't change that is part of all SE sites).
Our community has spent many hours discussing questions with you. If you want to ask a real question we have no problem with that, but wasting people's time by making fun of the rules is not ok. If you don't like the rules you don't have to participate, but don't just break because you can. If you would like to reform them the proper place to do that is on the meta site.
@wax - It becomes just funny. It only takes me to say something like "I address this question to the following Christian circles..." and my question becomes a valid one no matter how in fact this question may be stupid. I am afraid I am going to experiment on this further. — brilliant 2 days ago
Please do not ask experimental questions. If in doubt about an issue like what is appropriate in a question (or with any disagreement about moderator/community issues) take it to meta. If you think a question may be stupid don't ask it. If you really do have a question, get help from the community on how to make it not stupid.

@brilliant let me be very clear: I allowed your Cain question because I thought it had merit based on the possible existence of tradition and because those traditions actually might have some soteriological impacts, not because "it'd be cool to know". I can't see any larger doctrinal impact coming out of the "length of moses' staff"
