Scene 3: On a Mission

It wasn’t just my bad experiences that soured me on church. The whole premise of Christianity was starting to bother me, especially in the way it was portrayed by its most vocal practitioners.

Q: According to the bible, Is God always loving?

Tom HubbardIt is well known that "God is Love" but, is there ever a time in the bible when God is not loving? If so, what causes him to act as such?

Am I wrong here and fighting a lost cause?
Although most of my rep was scored on worse questions. If I were to go back and try to delete all the bad questions that didn't get closed, I'd have about 200 points left. :-p

@DavidStratton There is a potentially really good question in there ... but it needs to be edited so that the right answer NAMES THE DOCTRINES that speak to that issue. Right now it's already well on it's way to being a mess because that kind of truth question just attracts not well referenced opinions like open food attracts flies.
As soon as it is worded such that it calls for a pointer to relevant Christian doctrine and quality answers would be the ones that identify how that idea fits into the sphere of various theologies we can re-open and cleanup the existing answers.

@StackExchange So far, the responses seem clear. (That's fine, by the way. If there's no problem, there's no problem.)
