Is it just me or have things been really slow the last couple days?
...I ask this while everyone is idle. Heh.

@MasonWheeler It's definitely not you.

I used 15 votes yesterday. I normally use 38-40 votes.
Hehe.

That, and I just haven't seen very many new questions lately

@MasonWheeler You would be correct. I think there were 2 or 3 new questions yesterday.

I hope this is just a lull and not a trend

Q: Why people are retarded to the point of believing in a bearded wizard living high in the sky?

benSeriously. I know I'm gonna be bashed / banned / hated. But it's just like someone opened up a stack exchange site about winny the pooh and people tried to discuss intellectually about it. This is ridiculous, we live in XXI century - grow up already.

Yeah gotta wait for a mod to wake up, or at least 5 people with close vote rights and enough SE savvy to use 'em
vote to close if you can, flag it, don't respond, that just encourages them in their trolling

2:27 PM
@SonicTheHedgehog I flagged as offensive, as it is essentially just an insult. The offensive flag has also the nice side effect of auto-deletion once enough flags are cast.

Sonic please stop responding and kill your comments, they are just making it worse
That's all the guy was after, some "Christian" to say nasty things about so he could go back to his world and feel all self righteous about it. Don't give it to him like that.

Ok guys things are way too quiet. Does anybody have an interest in seeing new questions automatically fed into this room?

Caleb has made a change to the feeds posted into this room

I just added the meta site feed, if people want the main site feed in here too just ping me. (I'd be for it but ya'll should weigh in!)

8:25 PM
@Caleb: Sweet! :D
Also, I'm all for having a main site feed.

Q: What are acceptable ways to scope a question on Christianity.SE?

mxyzplkThe site seems to be wildly vacillating on how to scope a question. So far we've heard all of the following. "Don't name one particular person!" "Oh and we can't generalize to all Christians, that's too broad." "And don't ask a question about an arbitrary subgroup of some Christians, it n...

Q: Call Old Testament the books of the Catholic Bible "Deuterocanonical books" instead of "Apocrypha"

Peter TurnerIf you support this, we can add it to the "What to Call" list, if not boo hoo for me. I'd prefer it if we called: Tobit Judith Additions to Esther Wisdom Sirach Baruch Additions to Jeremiah Additions to Daniel 1 Maccabees 2 Maccabees Deuterocanonical instead of Apocrypha. Most of what is ...

Q: Don't you think that the tag "jesus" should be starting with a capital letter?

brilliantI may be too picky here, but don't you think that the tag "jesus" should be starting with a capital letter?

Q: Who is an expert, and where are they?

DJClayworthThis is kind of tied to the general discussion of the expert level, or otherwise of questions, including this one. My subjective observation of the question level, like others, has been that is is quite low. This, as others have said, is going to be a problem for us, as lots of simple and naive ...

Q: Why are there different tags for communion and eucharist?

JustinYWhy are there different tags for communion and eucharist? I guess I don't know whether they are different. I always thought they were just different names for the same thing.

@Caleb I'm undecided on a main site feed. It depends on question volume, if its light go for it, if it gets heavy again I'd say no.

@waxeagle Well, depends on the criteria that are used for selecting questions to feed.

@waxeagle It's one item per question a few minutes after the initial post. That would have been 40 items a day during early beta, about half a dozen today.

hello guys

8:36 PM
I figured the meta was useful since anybody hanging out in here probably cares about the site related stuff, but the main site feed might be too much for some.
Then again our banter could be too much for others.

@Sotiris Hello there!

9:09 PM
@Caleb yeah I agree about that.
