Q: Which denominations believe that it is possible to know whether we will be saved before we die?

JustinYHebrews 11:1 (KJV) says that "faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." I believe part of the confidence and assurance is that Christ can and will save us. Can we know whether or not we have been saved, or will be saved? All Christian denominations believe...

What if I narrowed the scope to denominations who don't believe in Eternal Security and Unconditional Election? I'm most interested in denominations that don't believe those doctrines anyways.

Q: What is a good tag synonym for perseverance of the saints?

JustinYI tried adding the tag perseverance-of-the-saints to this question but I got an error telling me it exceeded the max tag length of 25 characters. What is a good synonym for it?

..or sufficiently knowledgeable to have answered 5 questions about it.

@dancek Done.

@Richard Is it something that we can get changed (perhaps by asking for it in Meta) or set in stone?

@Waggers Well, if you'd like, you can post a feature request on Meta.SO. That would be about the only option.
It seems to be something that has been talked about on Meta.SO before:

Q: Tag Synonym Voting Rules

John DiblingIt has been proposed that c++0x become a synonym for c++11. In other words, any time a question is posted with the c++0x tag, the tag will be automatically and silently changed to c++11, with no way to prevent that. I disagree with this change, but I cannot cast a vote in disagreement. I have ...
