> Consequently, there is a limited understanding of cross-phylum biogeographic structuring and an escalating need to understand the macroecology of both microscopic and macroscopic organisms.
> A final note on the first three words. (Also, congratulations on reading this far into my discussion of so few words). The narrator doesn’t simply say that history has failed. The narrator says that history has failed us. “Us” is a group that includes the narrator and the reader. In using this pronoun, the narrator asserts a group identity, draws the reader in with the promise of understanding and a shared experience, and invokes the idea of “us vs. them”.
> The “them” being, of course, the historians who have failed to do their due diligence, failed to properly honor the lives of common folk by recording their common stories.
that's uh the last paragraph of what I have so far
It's touching on some stuff that I have opinions about, like colonialism and the parts of history that should be recorded (cough common people, not rich guys)
> Colonialism and war are things ordered by privileged people, rich and powerful people sitting safe at home. Colonialism and war are things that happen to common people, reshaping their lives in ways that they cannot control. Privileged people are the ones who write the history books. Common people are the ones who struggle to survive, who create stories of resilience and hard work and ingenuity in the face of their world changing.
@Sid Yeah - this is why most paintings of the Madonna are with blue wraps.
Also interesting is the fact that we even have a separate word for pink compared to red... since it is literally "light red". Russian has separate words for blue and light blue, which seems reasonable given that... ^^;
I really shouldn't start down pathways of links -.-;
so i talked to Sam and i thought about how i felt for a long time, and i think i'm kinda gonna get ready to live my life as a man 100% of the time and fully embrace it :)
I confess I don't fully understand gender fluidity but then everyone's different. So as long as the person concerned is content, it all works out, I guess.
there was never fully a phase of unhappiness i think, more just "not sure who i want to be." but the past few months things kind of solidified and i felt more confident in sticking to one side of the coin. it sort of happened gradually without me realizing, in a sense :p
but i do feel happy with this, it feels right.
more comfortable than being unsure and bouncing around
Yeah. Right now, it's probably just a detour, in a way. I kinda want to go for higher studies but I am a bit unsure with the COVID situation and all. So, I will just see how this job goes for at least a year. If it's great, I might continue. If not, higher studies, it is.
