Seriously, how long do we have to endure kino?
He obviously didn't learn anything from the suspension.

Q: Kill the troll!

kinokijufThis answer is clearly a joke. Jeff Atwood says that the SX network is not a place to have jokes. Could a moderator do something with it?

2:42 PM
If we're going to "Kill the troll", I nominate him to be killed. His edits aren't helpful, his posts are extremely low quality, and contributing nothing good to the site. Also bitching about dumb things like fun answers that are 3 years old

3:00 PM
Who's a troll here, seriously. I know in the good old days we had problems with KCotreau acting against the community, but that was only in flags and about closing questions.
… this is on a totally different level though.

Indeed, I was about to say that.
KC is 16k, Kino is 2k.
Kino is better of learning the site a bit at his level and spending his time into writing longer answers than into trying to improve the rest of Super User.

Yeah, I didn't even notice the answers, but they're rarely longer than one paragraph. One sentence even.

Most of his answers are just one or two-liners, occasionally you see a paragraph or two somewhere.

Wow, seriously … I just randomly clicked through them.

Clicked through his middle answers, through his latest and through his bests (Jeff Atwood actually improved that #1).
He's trying to do too much at the same time, also look at the amount of accounts he has across the community.
(Not that that last thing is actually a proof or anything, he could as well just registered everywhere to not have to register again or something. Or he was exploring one or another day...)

3:06 PM
I think it's reasonable at some point to start working for the site (and with, emphasis on with the community) to make this a better place.
Like @SimonSheehan did, although he didn't have that much rep.

But really, I think there should at least go out a note to this user. I still have good faith in users though; the blog post could've been a mistake, the edit flood could've been a mistake, ...

… but you can't run it by yourself with your eyes shut playing deaf.

@slhck Yes, but perhaps gradually. It's easy to get up to 2k with just one or two-liners, how long has he been registered?

@TomWijsman In both cases he didn't let it be after being told to stop (edit flood) or facing opposition (comments on the answer, disputes on the flags). When does persistence become trolling?

Indeed

3:08 PM
@TomWijsman His edits on Meta are regularly reverted by multiple users, and yet he continues.

@DanielBeck For an edit flood I wouldn't stop either unless pinged in chat, because I open a bunch of tabs and wade through them.
But indeed, he should've stopped earlier with this fun answer.

@TomWijsman You get the comment notification after sending the edit, don't you?

@TomWijsman Sadly you can get very far with bad contributions.

@DanielBeck I do actually Ctrl+Tab before that. :P
Meh, I've should've first waked up before coming to Super User. Stupid typos...

@TomWijsman Then I guess it's your own fault. As @slhck mentioned, eyes shut, playing deaf. At least be in Chat while doing something like this to have a feedback channel...

3:11 PM
@slhck Yeah, seen Zab about anywhere, missed out on Iain Simpson.
Indeed, I am always in chat when doing that. :)
Or well, I occasionally do check the front page though which is why I'll see the inbox notifications.
But well, I'm more in a /review or answer mode these days. So you can safely expect no edit floods from me these weeks... :)
But back on subject... Has anyone gone through Kino's questions? How are they?

5+ self answers. No idea how good.

Can't really judge it, not my kind of topics. Rarely longer than a sentence too, though.

Some good, most are not notable.

Hmm, from the question titles they look good.

Nothing exceptional though AFAICT.

3:16 PM
Mediocre, all in all. Not too bad I'd say.

I don't have any good questions either... I don't think they're too relevant even if some were good. Regular contributors provide value more through answers than questions.

@DanielBeck Hmm, indeed, saw that pass a lot. And he's only been like 3 - 4 months on the Stack Exchange network...
So, for me it's either: Ask him to rearrange where he spent his times (into his answers) or suspend him. I think the mods should eventually consider having a talk with him or decide to put a definitive stop to this...

I don't know if they ever talked to him directly – That would be a good first step.

Was thinking about inviting him to chat in the beginning of this conversation or so, but he just stopped browsing SE the moment the meta question back-fired on him.
So, wouldn't have been the good moment to talk...

It seems that the community agrees that he's taking it too far, so he'd just need to accept that and move on. The retags are fine if they're in order and in accordance with what we established on Meta. The low quality answers are another issue, and if ZaB got suspended for them, at least kino should know that he should invest more time there.

3:29 PM
He's been suspended, warned, talked to, and practically beaten with a stick, yet he continues.

@SimonSheehan He's been talked to?

@DanielBeck he's had warnings from moderators in comments a few times if I recall.

@SimonSheehan Good to know.

@SimonSheehan … about the Meta-retags, right? Like tagging a as .

@slhck yeah, stuff like that

3:46 PM
@Sathya: Now that you're around, feel free to start here.

yeah been watching the convo

Ah, didn't see/note you were in this room.
