By the way I'd like to recommend the series of articles that was published in QST magazine by Ward Silver N0AX called "Hands-On Radio". They are an excellent introduction to electronics from a radio point of view. If you're an ARRL member then the original articles will be available from their web site. They also collected the articles into books that they sell.
