So I've got a bike multitool that needed a new bolt. M8x1.0 which is a fine thread. I bought some and that's working great.
However there's a 6mm hex in the end to drive it, and this multitool only has a 4mm driver available.
What do you think my chances are of cuttng the end off a M4 caphead bolt, filing the outside down to 6mm, and wedging it into the larger recess?
I'm thinking it might work ?

Its going to be really small and fiddly is all.
I do not have access to a mill, but I do have a small lathe.
I have a janky 3d printed hex collet block, to take ER16 which should help.
