Need a dumb check - new bathroom vanity light. Box above mirror is the main line from panel.
In box is 2 black bundle. 2 white bundle and a single red capped off
I know for a fact that the panel drop goes to this box. I assume th blank carries on to the 4gang switch box, and is pigtailed to the switches/ gfi outlet in there.
Wired light, lamp black to red, lamp white to white bundle. And ground done. Hit the switch and th gfi popped.
Obviously some genius is involved here but I can't figure it out. Guesses and trouble shooting tips?
Checked switch box. Single pair into gfi line. White and black pigtails off load side. Is the device defective?
