@Criggie ya' know, I saw that and thought, "I'd have never even considered drilling into a steel or aluminum frame!". Can't imagine drilling a carbon frame and expecting it to live. Of course, there's probably a fair bit of overdesign, but they want it to be as cheap as possible so they can sell 'em...
yup - theres two parts... the "how" which would cover tool choice, dust capture, method, angles, speeds etc And a second part of "should I?" which would consider the specific item being modified.
Each part is related but not dependent.
With that fork, looking at it in detail would make sense.
