FYI, there's a mod tool to convert a follow-up non-answer to an edit on the question with one click, so you can leave it for the mods to clean up if you're feeling lazy.

Or use a custom flag message to say that you've edited it into the post so I don't make a bigger mess than already exists.

@TheEvilGreebo Mods also have a "convert to comment" tool so again, flag it with "should be a comment on <post>" message and we'll take care of it.

@TheEvilGreebo 1) I was trying to be sarcastic: 10k moderator tools and mod tools are actually very different; 2) the 10k tools are under the review button.
