Q: Nuisance Trip GFCI by Electric Motor

FedI have an old 1950s bandsaw (Beaver 2300) that has been refitted, by the previous owner, with a new motor. It runs fine. But now that I am using a power bar with a built in GFCI, the GFCI trips under heavy load. When I plug directly into the wall outlet, the 15A breaker does not trip. Any sugges...

@NickAlexeev Yes, but we have several GFCI + inductive load questions already so it would be closed as a duplicate. Some prior art at diy.stackexchange.com/search?q=gfci+motor+is%3Aa

@NiallC. I'm inclined to migrate it. There's nothing wrong with duplicates, if duplicity is the only issue.
 
I think we have the overloaded breaker aspect covered too but I'm not finding it right now.
@NickAlexeev OK, send it over. I'll take another look in the morning if the community hasn't dealt with it by then.
