they should be listed on the nameplate of the welder
Oh, sorry, on the welder. I'd have to look. I thought you were talking about the gennie.
@Shalvenay - My welder is a Harbor Freight one, so of course it doesn't have it listed.
@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 does it have a primary current on the nameplate at least?
Input current is 24.5A
max
I haven't ever used it up on the high end of the Amperage needs, so haven't even gotten close to that amount of draw.
ah. what's the maximum duty cycle on it, for that matter?
There are four settings. At max it's 15% duty cycle. At the low end (I don't know what the amperage draw is) is 100% DC

ah
you're cool then
I'd love to get a Miller, but as much as I use a welder, it doesn't make fiscal sense to spend that much money.

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 14-30 is a 120/240V connector, while 6-20 is a 240V connector. So you'll just ignore the neutral from the 14-30.
Make sure you use a cord that's sized according to the welder manufacturer's instructions.
And make the cord as short as practical
Or, if you want a really long cord, make sure you size it up appropriately.
