Did I miss the memo about a bunch of new users showing up after we elect a new mod as a hazing procedure?
I'm not so sure this is a bad question.

Q: What's so great about Cerflon?

greg maddenI'm confused about what CERFLON® does, and why it supposedly makes dry lubricate products better? It's colorless so it'll reduce stains on paint, but does it make a dry lubricant work better?

It's badly asked, but has potential.
This one is confusing, since the OP asks about building a patio out of wood, and putting tar shingles on it?

Q: Building a 16 by 20 wood patio with tar shingles

B WI have 2x6x16 rafters hooked in to the side of my house. There will be approx. 12 of these. I have three 6x6x8 post that will be cemented in the ground. As of right now I have a 4x6x20 going across the three post to hold 2x6x16's plus roofing. Will this 4x6x20 hold the weight? Click for larger ...

Do they want a patio, or a deck?
Does the roof have shingles, or the floor?
@Tester101 I think they want a patio roof, but poorly asked.
I think by definition, patios have no roof.

@Tester101 bad answers come from bad questions. If a spam answer would be a good answer to the question, then it was a bad question. One of those -1's is me.
Is there a chemistry stack?
Is a patio with a roof a pavilion?
@BMitch I don't see a difference between this question and the recent hammer drill question. They are asking about a specific feature of a tool.
Mod Fight!
Reworded the title. Is that better?

Q: What benefits does Cerflon provide in a dry lubricant?

greg maddenI'm confused about what CERFLON® does, and why it supposedly makes dry lubricate products better? It's colorless so it'll reduce stains on paint, but does it make a dry lubricant work better?

Not sure it's proper English, but whatever.
This one might be a shop for me question, but it might be salvageable.

Q: How to cut wooden monograms with a jigsaw?

ValeriWhat is the best way to cut a 20inch vine(font) monogram with a circle around it out of 1/4inch baltic birch plywood. I have seen them everywhere but I am finding it extremely difficult to cut out with my jig saw. Is there an affordable laser machine that would accomplish this project for my in ...

@ChrisCudmore get the popcorn! :)
@Tester101 The hammer drill question didn't ask about a specific model or brand name.
15:46
@BMitch This question doesn't anymore either.
16:33
@Tester101 I thought Cerflon was a specific product
@BMitch How's this?

Q: What benefits do fluoropolymers provide in a dry lubricant?

greg maddenI'm confused about what fluoropolymers do, and why they supposedly makes dry lubricate products better? It's colorless so it'll reduce stains on paint, but does it make a dry lubricant work better?

@TheEvilGreebo Did I @ you?
16:47
@Tester101 better, but now I have no clue what they're asking.
@BMitch FINE! Close it!
17:05
@BMitch I'm checking with
They don't want it.
in The Periodic Table, 47 secs ago, by ManishEarth
@Tester101 Yeah, just close. Tell him if he can ask a more chem-focussed question about why fluoropolymers work the way they do in lubricant, it's welcome here :)
@Tester101 Are you offering to @ me? Buy me dinner first.
@BMitch I didn't know what he was asking before so... win/win!
Make @NiallC. deal with it. He's the n00b.

@Tester101 Are you responding to me or the answer? — The Evil Greebo 1 hour ago
@TheEvilGreebo If I want to talk to you, I'll @ you.
If you're not careful, I'll super @ you.

@Tester101 And I said BUY ME DINNER FIRST!

@Tester101 Just because I don't understand a question doesn't mean I want to close it. If that were the case this would be a very very quiet SE site and all the questions would be about toilets and framing.

its over !?! :(
@lsiunsuex what's over? Where have you been?
working :(

Congrats @NiallC.!
@lsiunsuex Mods aren't allowed to have real lives. :) Oh, wait, I'm a mod. :(
working does not constitute a real life... and are you implying i won? :)
19:41
@lsiunsuex Nope, you didn't win. But if it makes you feel better, there was a suggestion to cover you in bacon flavored seasoning. This conversation just got weird.
:( i'm gonna call my mommy and cry for hours...
no big deal; if it doesn't involve money, i probably shouldn't be doing it right now anyways :)
@lsiunsuex neither should I. Why the heck am I here?

Q: Prevent continued loading of only current file without interrupting loading of parent file?

lsiunsuexLooking at the following structure: groups.php <?php session_start(); include('header.php'); if($_SESSION['admin']) { include('groups_admin.php'); } ... html ... ?> groups_admin.php <?php if(!$_SESSION['admin']) { die(); } ... html ... ?> inside of groups_admin.php - performing the die()...

this answer isn't even addressing my issue, wtf.
die(); will stop all execution, period. it'll stop the execution of groups.php and groups_admin.php. i just want to stop the execution of groups_admin.php while inside of groups_admin.php without using a entire code encapsulating if statement just incase someone should stumble upon the file by a means i can't forsee
19:56
@Bmitch Are you suggesting that he wire his gfcis on the load side?
20:19
Ignore that.
