Q: Gibbs Free Energy of Ideal Gas in Carnot Cycle

Hafiz Aji AzizLet's just say we have 2 moles of monoatomic (maybe helium) ideal gas that is doing a Carnot Cycle with reservoir temperature of 300 and 750 K. Now, here's a simple question, what is the Gibb Free energy change from point A to point B in this process? Because (do correct me if I'm wrong), I b...

Q: Why the electronic configuration of samarium is ending with 4f⁶6s²

VedWhat is coming in my mind is that 4f^7 6s^1 should be more stable as it allows two orbitals to be half filled rather than 4f^6 6s^2 in which only one orbital is completely filled....can someone please help me in this and tell that where I am thinking wrong....

Q: CAThode and ANode

MoonWhy did scientist use a perforated cathode when they discovered anode rays? And was there a hole in anode when scientists discovered cathode rays I mean when cathode rays were attracted towards anode, did they pass through a HOLE in it? What exactly happened to cathode rays when they reached anod...

Hello everyone, I am a third-year Ph.D. student in computational bio-chemistry. I would like to find an intern position in a company for spring-fall 2023. And I’m pretty sure someone else on this page is looking for similar opportunities. I thought sharing the companies that already have positions for next year would be a great source for us. If you know a company is hiring an intern or you al

for a bond cleavage, if you dont see stretching of the bond, but have a relatively large imaginary frequency (-110 cm^-1) with the desired products, are you at a transition state? This is in the context of a C-C bond cleavage. submitted by /u/Historical_Stretch47 [link] [comments]

Q: Quantum mechanical model

CH-20How do we know that in the same shell which subshell (s,p,d,f) is near to nucleus? Actually, my question was that an electron in an orbital of higher angular momentum stays away from the nucleus than an electron in the orbital of lower angular momentum. Is it true or false? I observed that an ele...
