Does Banned Schools from wizard affect cleric casting?
in D&D of course.

Good.
I needed one level of Wizard. might as well go with the conjurer variant for what Im doing.

@JonathanHobbs Baikal Lake?

... ::muttermuttermutter:: gorram rain!
rain + clothes on clotheline = clothes on clothesline... tomorrow

@BESW What about it? I dunno, I just found that photo.

5:25 AM
@JonathanHobbs Yeah, that's Lake Baikal. Russia.
Lake Baikal (; , , Baygal nuur, meaning "nature lake";) is a rift lake in the south of the Russian region of Siberia, between the Irkutsk Oblast to the northwest and the Buryat Republic to the southeast. Lake Baikal is the most voluminous freshwater lake in the world, containing roughly 20% of the world's unfrozen surface fresh water, It is also among the clearest of all lakes, and thought to be the world's oldest lake at 25 million years. Similar to Lake Tanganyika, Lake Baikal was formed as an ancient rift valley, having the typical long crescent shape with a surface area of . Bai...

Wow, okay

Ah, Alas having 1 level in Wizard means that enlarge person last 1 minute.
Ah well eventually Clerics get divine power.
Which as @BrianBallsun-Stanton Pointed out once, is a thing.

@BrianBallsun-Stanton How is it RPG? Isn't it pretty much just linguistics and biology?

easy indication of caste, protection of advnantage knowledge

Cat
Good point.

@BESW talk about simulation applications in trivial sense.

Q: Are the Fighting Fantasy gamebooks and contents on- or off-topic?

DakeyrasThey're basically solo campaigns with the book acting as a DM, as I see it. However, you could argue that they're not, I guess.

I was wondering... what if I used some hard form of mind reading on a D&D Druid? Could I learn Druidic?

@Zachiel I'm sure there is a Psychic talent that lets you pick up a skill someone else knows
If it's 3.5 Druidic is actually Language: Druidic

you can't take it with Speak Language
you can only get it as a class feature

@Zachiel Which edition?

3.5

7:55 PM
In that case the Talent would need to read 'Emulate a class feature'

woho, factotum

8:24 PM
@Leezard I admire what you're working to do with the language question.
That said, @Okeefe is right. Few (if any) of your players might appreciate this
I know much more about blacksmithing/metallurgy than I used to, thanks to prepping for an Iron Age D&D campaign.
How many of my players actually gave a damn about that invested time?
None.
I really like what you're getting at. Just be sure you're doing it for you and not them, or else you may find yourself sorely disappointed
I'm glad I got to learn about blacksmithing. But I wish I had taken to it as a self-learning research venture instead of something my players would like. Then I wouldn't have felt so burnt at the table

1 hour later…
9:55 PM
Is it possible to post a question anonymously?

10:08 PM
@Corion If you log out, I think you can post one, and you'll come up as user1024972086125986 or some such....I think

1 hour later…
11:28 PM
@Corion why would you want to?
