Some more than others, but it does seem to be a chronic problem over the years - cross groups. Some individuals are more amenable to the explanation that "just saying "time passes" is as fast in game as saying "I head out immediately," so what's the problem?"
But there is a real sense of frustration from the players and I don't like them to feel frustrated (although I reject all the 4e/narrativist wish fulfillment player empowerment culture)
An issue came up in the last session of my Pathfinder campaign - that of chronic PC impatience.
It happens especially when they go to cities and between adventures. They go into a frenzy of trying to buy and sell and talk to everyone and do everything to the point where I have to start enforcing...
I am playing a character in a Dungeons and Dragons game. We are using a mix of 3 and 3.5 rule set. My character's craft is jewelery,so I need some reference to:

Our LARPs are commonly in small forested areas making proper dramatic swings difficult. I've tried to accompany the large weapon with a smaller sword at ...
I'm looking for something to visually represent non-combat fire magic. It needs to be small enough to carry discretely, short range (to reduce the risk of setting people on fire), cool (compared to some flames) and reasonably cheap.
Is such a thing possible?
Most LARP systems feature an option for ritual magic; Long drawn out magic scenes involving a variety of actions, words and props, as well as having to fit to specific timings (longer rituals for greater effects).
What is the best way to make such a ritual stand out and be noticed as 'magical', ...
In D&D/PF/Rifts/Shadowrun type games I've played in the past, corrupt nobles/merchants, thieves guilds guilds, megacorps, ancient evils, and various religions with a flakey axe to grind, were all easy to just plug in without disturbance to the world's credibility.
Dresden Files RPG is sup...
