@Elmy 👍
@MetaMoose Strange...this query gives 144 questions while this gives 172 questions...
I can't find the difference.

@Elmy CW on site meta? :D

@JourneymanGeek I know it doesn't make a difference, but it felt wrong to "earn" reputation for answers I copied from other sites and then prompted people to vote on ^^'

😁 I know exactly what you mean

2 hours later…
7:43 AM
also "reputation"

8:40 AM
@JourneymanGeek Exactly. More like "gamification points that are intended to provoke more participation and better answers but that sometimes mislead users into spamming low quality answers just to increase the number of their points"

I mean, meta has neither

Morning.

@Elmy Yeah, Journeyman's right - meta doesn't have any rep. It can't, given that often it uses up/down votes for determining whether people agree/disagree to a proposal.
Though I suppose it could be interesting to have meta-specific rep that can't be used for bounties/privileges. Just to see how often people agree to stuff you propose. Though that could be dangerous if thought of as real rep.

Hellooo

hello!

How are you @AllisonC?

Doing good, how about you?

@AllisonC Me too, I have cookies, all is good :D

8:29 PM
Ooh, what kind? :D

Chocolate Chip <3 homemade

I wonder if it'd be feasible to make an inverted chocolate chip cookie.
Like, a slab of chocolate with bits of cooked cookie dough in it.
Like almond bark with cookie instead of almonds.

Probably

Any idea how? Or would it be baked the same way as regular?

8:49 PM
@SerenaT ooh yum
I'd guess it would be a variation on a standard chocolate bar... I know from a previous job of mine that as far as cookies go, they lose integrity when you go above ~45% of the mix being chocolate chips.

@SerenaT Not exactly what I was thinking, but now I want some.

I mean you could connect to bombs to make a bar I guess

@AllisonC That's what I was worried about - you'd need lower heat to not just outright melt the chocolate. But then the dough might be undercooked.

You can make dough that does not need baking
Without eggs

8:56 PM
@Sarov Alternately, you'd pre-bake the dough, crumble it, and add that into the chocolate after tempering

Hmm. Yeah, sounds like it should work.

probably be really tasty too

Yeeeee

Yeah... you could even put other things in there, too. Nuts, dried fruit, smarties...
Well the smarties might be redundant.

9:13 PM
Definitely use baked cookies that you afterwards embed in the chocolate. Baking chocolate anywhere near the temperature needed for a cookie as is is going to turn out really disgusting. And you’d never get anything like a baked cookie, because the chocolate would make it greasy and soggy.
Think chocolate bark and work from there.
@Sarov are they ever?

@Stephie I mean... what about in a bag of smarties?

Nahhh. Not even then.
At least if I ask the minors here.
ok, minor 2. Minor 1 has discovered girls and vanity. Puberty is challenging.

Oh jeez. Good luck with that.

All good so far.

10:11 PM
@Sarov That one threw me off for a bit until I remembered that Smarties are different types of candy depending on where you live. :) And as far as that goes, the store where I used to work sells a "holiday bark" that includes a candy-shell chocolate, but other things too
(peanut butter cups, pretzels, popcorn, etc)

@AllisonC Yeah, I considered specifying "Not American smarties". But decided not to for amusement. :D
