@JoshDM I am going to write the Question "What is the best kind of dog to give as a Christmas gift?" To me this seems most likely to be found when that person is searching the web. We can see how it develops, and decide if there should be a separate question for cats, or if the question should be made more generic and just ask about the best kind of "pet".

Q: What is the best kind of dog to give as a Christmas gift?

James JenkinsI have an elderly aunt who lives alone, I worry that she does not have enough company so I want to get her a dog for Christmas to keep her company. I know she likes dogs because I remember her having one. What is the best kind of dog to get as present?

@JamesJenkins - Are you looking to reword or rollback the edit to that question?
I'll clear out the comments shortly, but I'll leave your comment describing the purpose for a bit.

@JohnCavan, I reworded it a bit. Trying to image how to optimize for searchs.

Cool, I cleaned up the comment discussion too.
You might consider waiting a couple of days and running a google search on some of those common questions to see what arises.
If your question hits high in the results, that would be good.

All - Please do not hesitate to down vote the question pets.stackexchange.com/questions/1520/…
Just don't vote to close, the answer needs to be here

Hmm... I wouldn't (I upvoted), I would much prefer that people ask that question before buying a pet as a gift than just buying the pet... :)

I will ask the Easter Bunny question after the winter holiday. That holiday is specific to that pet, will probably included baby chicks in that question as well.
