@AshleyNunn What's wicked is how she catches them. So when she goes after one, she keeps her mouth closed until she gets her head close enough, and then opens her mouth, water rushing in. The flow does most of the work getting them into her mouth!

@PreciousTijesunimi You come up with some great links, and in your deleted answers, I suggest going through one a week (or whatever time you like) read about the subject, then give and answer in your own words, like how you would explain it to a neighbor

Then add a small quote and reference, link and you'll have some really good answer

Anyway, sorry to bother you -- I got an inbox notification on a question that, moments later, was deleted, and the inbox didn't tell me whose it was so I was trying to remember who I'd been exchanging comments about.

(Somebody decided to retag the "pooping" questions to "feces" and there was a question about that; there'd been no clear consensus on the "pooping/droppings" question and whoever did this didn't make aliases, which was puzzling. Oh well -- we still need to resolve that question at some point and then fix up the tags.)

I have one cat - he used to live in a two cat household but has adapted well to being with just me and no other animals or people

@AshleyNunn Erik and Baldur were my original two; I got them as 10-week-old kittens and they lived to 18.5 and 19 (plus a few months). The third was Embla, a stray who was probably about two years younger than them. So they were all close enough in age that they were too old to adjust to the introduction of anybody new.

(I adopted Embla as an adult, from the street -- seemed to be a dumped pet, or at least nobody claimed her and she knew what to do with a litterbox.)

@AshleyNunn how long has yours been an only cat? How long did it take him to adjust?

He's been solo for almost a year now. He adjusted pretty quickly, I'd say it only took a few weeks.
