I put in a period of sleep after each message Sloshy posts in the hopes that that would be sufficient for chat, but it seems it isn't; I guess it traverses the full list of rooms just fine, but disconnects before all the queued-up messages have been delivered to chat
Thanks @tripleee !! Yes if you were only skipping user -1, then that would explain why the 3 above rooms were not getting kept open. For example the user: -1105/lorentzian is posting feed messages to Lorentzian, but is not the system feed.
remind me to check that tonight's run has the correct number of entries; the previous runs only managed to scan about half the rooms before disconnecting (chat can be very slow if you submit several successive messages)
@tripleee Very true, because it makes you wait several seconds before sending the next message. I'll remind you tonight to check the number of entries!
@MartinSleziak You might have noticed that thanks to user tripleee's initiative, we've been working on this very long-desired Bot to keep rooms open, but not like floern's Generic Bot which posts all the time rather than the minimum necessary.
I think you and I have done a very good job of keeping BountyLand open "manually" for the last year, do you think we need to add the bot there too? Or are we okay on our own? Before, I was trying to keep track of about 30 different rooms to keep unfrozen, and I know you were keeping very many rooms open too. I feel that with 90% of the work now done by a Bot, the task of keeping open 1 or 2 rooms "manually" seems very doable, but I wonder also about your thoughts!
