I guess with specific chat rooms for most topics, there will be droughts where we don't have much in the way of general discussion.

@Tyberius Thanks for re-opening it! There's been times when I wish this was open but didn't want to bother you guys too much. There's been times when "General Chat Room for Matter Modeling Meta" and "Ask a Moderator" were very active and I didn't want to have more conversations going on at the same time, and wished this room was open for some very basic other things, so it's good to have multiple rooms where we can chat, for the times when things do get busy.
