@ShoubhikRMaiti I just noticed this question of yours, which didn't get any answers. Why not ask it here on MMSE?

Q: How to determine which levels correspond to each other in LS coupling and jj-coupling?

Shoubhik R MaitiIn the LS coupling scheme, L, S and J are good quantum numbers; whereas in jj-coupling scheme, j1,j2 and J are good quantum numbers. I have learnt how to get the term symbols for LS coupling, and for jj-coupling for a particular electronic configuration. However, what I can't figure out is how th...

Also, did you notice that the Chem election wasn't able to start on time because we had only 2 candidates for 2 positions? We still have only 2 candidates and need at least one more for the election to occur, why don't you run for election? You have more points on Chem.SE than one of the other candidates, and do seem like an excellent fit! The time-commitment isn't actually as bad as some people might think.

@NikeDattani Thanks! Should I delete my Chem.SE question before posting? I thought cross-posting isn't allowed?

@ShoubhikRMaiti It's technically allowed across the network:

A: What to do with cross-site duplicates?

Robert CartainoYou can't assume that all users will be on all sites. Each site has to stand on its own merits and you have to treat each site as a separate community. If a question is inappropriate on one site, users now have alternate places to go with it. It's a nice convenience if moderators choose to trans...

However Chem.SE specifically is not very fond of cross-site dupliactes, and at least one moderator (Martin) has suggested to delete questions from the first site if it's going to be posted on a second site!

@NikeDattani Thanks for the recommendation, I was actually considering running for the election, but the time commitment seemed a bit much. I am going to be in a Master's level course in a few months, so I don't know how much I can contribute.
But if there are less candidates than required for the election, then I suppose I can stand for it!

@ShoubhikRMaiti The time commitment isn't too bad, especially since there's 6 mods at Chem.SE. The election was postponed because we only had 2 candidates for 2 positions, which means the election can't happen. If you run for it, then I'll vote for you!

@NikeDattani Ok, I will post the same question here, and let one of the mods on Chem.SE know
@NikeDattani Thanks for your vote of confidence, Nike (and the actual vote, if I stand for the election!!)

You're welcome :)
