@Daniil speaking from personal experience: even if you don't get elected, it's good to write down why you want to nominate yourself (sort of like an application letter or resume), and answer the questionnaire. It really helps in future elections (also on other sites); I've learned a lot from my first nomination on Puzzling.

@Glorfindel Ok, good suggestion. I'lll nominate myself later today, I'm 95% sure I won't get elected though :)

@Glorfindel appreicate it if you could edit my name into the main questionnaire post since I can't suggest edits

@Daniil done, thanks for nominating and good luck!

user435118
@Glorfindel Thanks, you too!

Thank you! If there was an option to make only the questionnaire question community wiki (but not the answers) I'd have asked for an election policy change on the main Meta. Somebody else had to add a link to my answer too, during the Ask Different election.

@Catija I was wondering if there is a list of historical/upcoming elections across all SE sites?

I guess that checking up on election tag on metas could give an overview of recent activity related to elections. (Without restricting to metas you get a bunch of questions from main sites, too.)

@Daniil not really. There’s a user hosted page that does... @Glorfindel May have the link... but the official page that tracked upcoming elections broke a while back.

@Catija ArtOfCode made that site, and it's linked to in the FAQ on the main Meta:

ben is uǝq backwardsWhat's happening? The community is electing diamond ♦ moderators; those individuals responsible for moderating the site the election is happening on. Elections are called as needed by the Stack Exchange Community Team on graduated sites and sometimes for pro-tem moderators on beta sites. The n...

@Glorfindel Thanks for the link

@Glorfindel Does the election site by Art work for you, been loading for a minute now...

@Daniil nope, it's broken. I'll ping the maintainer in the Tavern.

I'm really happy to see more nominations. I think that, whatever the results of the election are, it's going to be good for our site and good for our community.

@snailcar I agree, and I think we can't really go wrong with any of the candidates.

@Catija Is there any way to link AIQ's questionnaire answers to their nomination post or is it too late?
Oh and Eddie Kal needs a link to if possible

@ColleenV just in a comment. Even I can’t edit after the voting starts.

8:54 PM
@Catija Bummer. There is a link to the questionnaire page at the top, and if anyone clicks on their "meta" posts they'll see it too, so probably not a big deal.

I’m really excited to see who wins this election.

I voted too! I was a little worried at the beginning of the nomination phase but I think no matter who wins, it's worked out pretty well

If anyone has any questions about what I would do if I become a moderator, feel free to ping me and I will answer them

@ColleenV Losing privileges? Does one lose any privileges by becoming a mod? I don't understand this last message
but thanks for the rest of the info, good to know what this site is facing to prioritize the votes better :)

10:41 PM
@Luc Mods have all privileges and more unlocked merely by having the diamond, so a mod could give away all of their reputation in bounties and still be able to participate fully.

@Luc If you give away enough reputation through bounties that your reputation drops below levels for certain privileges, you will lose them until your rep goes back up again.
As a mod, you will always be able to edit without peer review etc.
Lol, oops what Catija said. I should have read ahead!

:D Sorry. I snuck in there.
