@Daniil speaking from personal experience: even if you don't get elected, it's good to write down why you want to nominate yourself (sort of like an application letter or resume), and answer the questionnaire. It really helps in future elections (also on other sites); I've learned a lot from my first nomination on Puzzling.

Thank you! If there was an option to make only the questionnaire question community wiki (but not the answers) I'd have asked for an election policy change on the main Meta. Somebody else had to add a link to my answer too, during the Ask Different election.

I guess that checking up on election tag on metas could give an overview of recent activity related to elections. (Without restricting to metas you get a bunch of questions from main sites, too.)

I voted too! I was a little worried at the beginning of the nomination phase but I think no matter who wins, it's worked out pretty well

@Luc Mods have all privileges and more unlocked merely by having the diamond, so a mod could give away all of their reputation in bounties and still be able to participate fully.

@Luc If you give away enough reputation through bounties that your reputation drops below levels for certain privileges, you will lose them until your rep goes back up again.

As a mod, you will always be able to edit without peer review etc.
