@Mithrandir You're not quite comparing like with like there: The Chronicles of Narnia is a whole series (I assume you're thinking specifically of tLtWatW?) and The Story of the Amulet is just one of a loose trilogy.
It's the last one too. Have you already read Five Children and It and The Phoenix and the Carpet?
If not, you should. The Story of the Amulet is very clearly the last, and as I recall it's quite ... different in scope. No spoilers, but I might actually recommend even stopping that one in order to read the other two first, if you haven't already.
