I want to ask a question about whether the pretentious tone of I Am A Cat is the responsibility of the translator or the original work.

It also requires anyone who wants to answer properly to be able to read Japanese fluently.

I had forgotten how bad the answers to thatquestion were.
It finally recieved a decent answer which of course is burried under those two really bad answers.
Imagine writing an answer to a question about why African Americans worked as cotton pickers but not mentioning slavery or racism once. That's what those answers do. It's absolutely ridiculous.

I've been meaning to rewrite my answer there but never got around to it...

Q: What does Hunca Munca from "The Tale of Two Bad Mice" represent?

DukeZhouBeatrix Potter is much beloved of children and adults alike. Known mostly for cozy stories like Peter Rabbit, she almost seemed to break the mold with the lesser known classic The Tale of Two Bad Mice, which may well be her most transgressive narrative. It's well known than Hunca Munca and h...
