Q: Discrete entropy of the integer part of a random variable

GoulifetLet $X$ be a real valued random variable. Of course, the integer part $\lfloor X \rfloor$ of $X$ is a discrete random variable taking values in $\mathbb{Z}$. We can therefore define its discrete entropy \begin{equation} H(\lfloor X \rfloor) = - \sum_{n\in\mathbb{Z}} \mathbb{P}( \lfloor X \rfloor ...

@MartinSleziak thanks again for noticing. "random variable" is just "function" in probabilities, so it's pointless to create such a tag. Also "potential" and "measure" are redundant with existing tags. I replaced them and deleted the new tags.
