The tag-info for thesis seems to be entirely taken from Wikipedia.
Just compare the tag-wiki and the tag-excerpt:
> A thesis is a document submitted in support of candidature for an academic degree or professional qualification presenting the author's research and findings
> A thesis (or dissertation) may be arranged as a thesis by publication or a monograph, with or without appended papers respectively.
with the beginning of Wikipedia article (current revision):
A thesis or dissertation is a document submitted in support of candidature for an academic degree or professional qualification presenting the author's research and findings. In some contexts, the word "thesis" or a cognate is used for part of a bachelor's or master's course, while "dissertation" is normally applied to a doctorate, while in other contexts, the reverse is true. The term graduate thesis is sometimes used to refer to both master's theses and doctoral dissertations. The required complexity or quality of research of a thesis or dissertation can vary by country, university, or program...
I have recently edited several tag-wikis taken from Wikipedia to include at least a link to the article where it was taken from: mathoverflow.net/users/8250/… See also: Recent suggested tag wiki edits and Should tag-wiki include a source where it is taken from?
Probably for tags where the usage is more-or-less clear, there is no harm if the tag contains just some basic information about the subject of the tag. But in this specific case, it would probably be more useful if the tag-info contained the usage guidance for the tag. (Which is the main purpose of the tag-wiki.)

Another potentially problematic tag-wiki is the tag-wiki for plane geometry. I am not sure where the tag-excerpt is taken from, but the tag-wiki seems to be copied word by word from Wolfram MathWorld.
> That portion of geometry dealing with figures in a plane, as opposed to solid geometry. Plane geometry deals with the circle, line, polygon, etc.
But explanation when the tag should be used (and, for example, how it differs from the tag ) would probably much more useful in the tag info than a description of what plane geometry is.

The tag-info for probability distributions seems to be copied from the revision of the Wikipedia article at the time, although it has been substantiallly edited since then. WP: Probability distribution
The tag-wiki for eigenvectors seems to be copied from the Wikipedia article Eigenvalues and eigenvectors (current revision) The same is true about the suggestion for the tag-excerpt, but this edit suggestion was rejected.
